My touch screen Lenovo Yoga pad

Different strokes for different folks. I personally wouldn't buy anything with the touch screen gimmick unless it was a dedicated tablet.

I listed the reasons I use a Mac. It's a solid build (mine gets tossed around a lot), it's UNIX, which makes it a developers dream with the stuff it comes preinstalled with. Not to mention I went through 3 HP DV1000's (almost $1,800 each at the time) in 2 years before buying my first Mac. And it had nothing to do with downloading software or viruses. They were plastic POS's.

But you're right about one thing. No computer is going to solve your problem if you don't have common sense while browsing the web and downloading shyt.

I'm on my 3rd Macbook Pro in 9 years. Why you ask? Because I like Macbook Pro's. It's not out of necessity. :ohlawd:

My little sister still to this day uses my 8 year old MBP with no problem. :gladbron:

And my gf has my 5 year old Macbook Pro and she's had no issues. :wow:

Both run like they were purchased yesterday. Let's see a PC laptop do that. :whoo:

My HP laptop I purchased back in 2004 is still running smoothly:win:

Why the fukk would you have this stance? :mindblown: The touch screen literally takes not a single thing away from the laptop experience and only ADDS to it by giving you new options in interacting with your PC. To take this position means you're simply refusing to acknowledge technological advances until your company of choice chooses to employ them. When Apple inevitably transforms its currently PC line up into touch screen machines, lets see if you still maintain this illogical position.

Yeah, I'm currently using my sister's old Dell Laptop with a core duo that's over 5 years old that still works fine once I installed more RAM and installed Windows 7.

What TS has a busted hard drive. It happened on my old Acer. I really stopped keeping things on my computer these days. Everything is on a cloud. ALL of my music is on google music. And all of my other files are on Dropbox. Samsung gave its cellphone users 2 years of of dropbox (50GB) for free. I download porn here and there, but like someone mentioned, you can stream most stuff these days.

And my movies are all on my PS3. I know it will eventually fail so I'll soon invest in a SSD for my new rig I'll soon build.

But I'd definitely invest in Google Music, Dropbox, Google Drive, and an SSD drive for good measures.

I wouldn't pay $400 or $50 for a shytty plastic laptop computer with a swiss cheese OS full of holes.

I work with PC's for a living Breh, last thing I want to do is come home to one of those nightmares. :whoo: You pay for what you get.

If I was to ever get a PC it would be something from Sony, Lenovo, or Samsung. Companies that build quality products. And guess what? They also make $2,000 laptops that last.

Laptops? :heh:

fukk a laptop breh. I've building building off my own PC for the past 5 years and not one problem. Mean while if u need an upgrade for your mac you better get that $1,000+ ready. If you're computer literate, then there's no reason to get a mac at all.

I just bought an ASUS laptop too :sadbron:

Please don't fail on me :damn:

you should be good. my ASUS is 3 years old and never had a single problem.

on top of virus protection software, windows 7 made it pretty easy to avoid any shady shyt downloading itself or popping up (you know the ones that used to pop up a million different windows and you would have to reset your cpu or the ones that pop up like "do you really want to leave this site?" and the only answers are "ok" and "cancel"). i haven't got around to windows 8 but i think it would be ever better.

and like its been said in this thread, stay away from sketchy porn sites and just stream it.

I have a feeling something may happen to my 2nd HD in my PC. Everytime I turn the PC on, during the P.O.S.T. I get a SMART error but I've been ignoring it. It's not the OS drive so all i have on there is my steam games and files. :yeshrug:

I don't download movies and pirated software much so I'm not too worried but redownloading all those damn games would be a bytch.

I got a warranty on this hard drive too because I bought it refurbished for like 50 bucks or so from Microcenter just to be on the safe side.

As for the topic, I really like Mac computers but I just don't feel like dropping all that cash on a closed system. I used to dual boot OSX back in the days on my Dell laptop using the hackintosh iso's. It was like I had a PC/MAC.
