DJANGO had to be one of my worst experiences.

There were two older women behind me that I'm assuming never knew slavery existed and made a comment about every little thing during the movie.

I understand there were some brutal parts, but it's no reason to say things like "Ooooooh myyyy lawwd" every time someone says ****** :beli:

EDIT: Forgot about the second time I saw DJANGO. There was ANOTHER older woman behind me who kept answering her cell and talking on the phone. :snoop:

:snoop: in harlem, i cant ever go to Magic Johnson Theater. Negroes and spics have to comment on the protagonist decisions, scream excessively loud, laugh hysterically to a point you cant hear the next 10 lines, and there is always one dikk head in the back that find it amazing that their hand can actually get in the way of the projecters..

its white people movie theaters only. idc how expensive they are

 you're not allowed to use that word

The thing is, a lot of people most people probably, don't go to the movies like we do, where we are excited about the previews, read reviews, post threads, follow it's release/production for a year..a lot of people get off work, have dinner at Chillis or some bullshyt and go to a movie, like 'ohh this is the one with Jamie Foxx as a slave', or 'This that spring break movie', 'this one is in 3D lets see that'..so their reactions are exactly some of the stuff thats mentioned in here.

I understand everyone doesn't have the same passions and interests I do, but it's frustrating talking to people, and all they have to say about movies is 'it was cool'. And the conversation just dies. Much more then not, people are very passive about their entertainment in all forms. If it takes them out of their 9-5 existence for 90 min they are happy. They have no desire to go further. Hence, forums where we can have discussions with actual value.

my biggest pet peve is when i watch a horror movie and people complain about what the cast is doing and how they would handle things differently etc etc....thats like complaining about dialog in a porno :birdman:

Yep. Hate people who don't understand why people like Horror movies and ruin it for the rest that do by snickering at every bad decision made by the main characters or nitpick at the unlikeliness of what just happened on screen actually happening in real life.

I love it when someone goes to see a movie that clearly looks like it sucks by the previews(a comedy with no funny jokes, action movie with cheap CGI etc) and then they're surprised it sucked

Most of the people I know are like that. I don't really have friends who have the same in depth opinions on movies that I do. Nor do they really have the same amount of interest in pop culture that I do.. that's why I've always flocked to forums.

Still, that doesn't give these said people the right to talk and act like an ass during movies, they should be mature enough to know it isn't cool to fukk up other peoples experiences. I don't go to PG-13 horror movies because of this. I saw When A Stranger Calls in theaters once.. despite the movie being awful, the whole watching experience was even worse because of teenagers acting like idiots.

Me too, I see a good movie and I have no one to talk about it with really...so I'm glad I have the forums to discuss/review them, friends hardly see movies, and when they do it's 'Cool', 'ok', not just pop culture, most of the people I know don't have much interest in anything besides their own lives. shyt gets frustrating.

That's why I have to go on Sunday morning or some other time the cinema is practically empty.

Horror movies can be tough to take given the audience. There's always that one loud mouth broad yelling "GET OUTTA THERE, BIATCH!"

:snoop:

I like that kind of shyt.

Best theatre experience I ever had was Freddy vs Jason.

shyt was packed to capacity. Before the movie started, some nikka who looked like he was fresh out the pen (Had the sky blue button up, 501 jeans, and all of that) came in with his two lil girls.

He couldn't find any seats for him and his daughters, so he went and told the manager of the theater. They came in trying to check everybody's ticket stub, but they did it in a half assed kind of way.

Thugged out dude was standing at the bottom of the stairway with his two daughters, just mean muggin nikkaz.

You know how they got that stadium seating
amc.jpg

Dude just stood there in a loc'd out stance (you know how they stand with their feet at a 45 degree angle) holding a big ass bag of popcorn.

Heard the manager approach him on some "Sorry sir, but we'll refund your money and give you coupons good for a free admission the next time you come"

Dude just snapped "I DON'T WANT NO GOTDAMN REFUND" and tossed his bag of popcorn about 30 ft into the air.

He looked into the crowd and barked out "I KNOW ONE OF YOU MUTHAfukkAS STOLE MY SEATS" :pacspit::pacspit:

He was right, though.nikkaz do be sneaking into theaters and shyt.

If you bought tickets, you should be guaranteed a seat. That's how you know somebody snuck in without paying.

Other than that, the crowd was poppin off that night.

Another good crowd was when I went to see Hustle & Flow....ho's was in the theater twerking during the "whoop that trick" scene:heh:

i live in a big mexican area. they are always annoying because they always bring their kids to the movie no matter what. and they talk to each other the whole time as if they arent even watching. Black folks at least comment on the film. they'll be talking about how trife Jorge was the other day.

I can't go to the theaters on premiere night, people don't know how to act anymore...

TV COMMERCIALS!!! What the fukk
talking throughout the movie, distracting as shyt
kids that shouldn't be there (I'm talking horror movies :smh: ), doing the same
young couples bringing their baby who whines (because no shyt, Sherlock, the sound hurts their fukking ears!)
teenagers sucking face the entire movie
cellphones going off, people actually answering and talking
people checking their smartphones the entire time, bright ass screens taking me out of enjoying the flick
kids and adults with OCD who kick seats
mouthbreathers that eat loud, people trying to get the last drop out of their drinks
crinkling wrappers from stuff people "snuck" in
idiots that basically narrate the entire movie like they're with someone who is blind

I'm 27, feeling like the old man who tells kids to get off their lawn, but I know for a FACT it wasn't this bad when I saw movies growing up. People done lost their morals and sense of etiquette...

If I actually do go see a movie in the theater nowadays, it's no earlier than a week after the shyt came out. I usually still end up running into the dumb shyt. That's why more often than not, I just wait until a movie drops online or on DVD or something...

...and even then, they master the audio so poorly that you have to turn the volume up during the near-whispering dialogue...then turn that shyt down quickly when action pops off, otherwise my house sounds like a shootout or car crash.

the best audience experience IMO are during retro/cult movie showings.

The worst was watching the passion of Christ, people were reciting bible verses and gasping for air. I yelled out "Jesus is Muslim" ...people were crackin and applauding.

sO, yOU'RE THAT GUY the OP is talking about. neg rep

I understand It's annoying but if you niccas would just go after 10 or early in the morning you skip most of that shxt y'all talking about :manny:

I seen Django at 11 PM, Burt Wonderstone at 12, Avengers at 10 at Crenshaw Mall in Inglewood and all of those experiences were :blessed:
