Aye, I know Eberflus is a dumb ass but Caleb could’ve called timeout. Hell, they could’ve snapped with 11 seconds and ran the same play. Dude was moving like they had the 2 minute warning in their pocket.

Yeah the goal was to run a quick play to get a closer FG and call a timeout with at least 1 second left. Not sure why Caleb didn't do that. I'm even more unsure why Eberflus didn't abort the mission.

The logic was Chicago didn't want to burn their final timeout then run a play on 3rd Down that ends in bounds, which results in the kicking unit sprinting out rushing the attempt to beat the clock

Trying to preserve the TO was fine but once the clock hits single digits you can't let Caleb snap that ball. Flus fell asleep at the wheel like he always does late and close.

It's poor logic though. You call the timeout with 32 secs left. You have your field goal team waiting to run in and at most the next play takes off 8 secs and you still have ample time to get the kick off. Plus you're coming off a sack and scrambling to get everyone ready.

It shouldn't have been this close. Bears fukked up a lot, bad passes from Williams, drops. Lions offense didn't do much in the 2nd half and needed to with all the injuries on defense.
