The craziest thing are the people online defending yesterday's decision not to use the timeout, and people today saying the firing is a bad idea. You have got to be idiotic to believe either of those things.

You don't call the timeout, you risk losing precious time that you need while your players are scrambling to get back and lined up.

You don't fire this coach after that catestrophic blunder, you risk your fans turning on the whole franchise.

At some point, you have to cut your losses.

Go on Twitter, Tiktok... a lot of people think the fault is squarely on Williams for not lining up and running a play more quickly.

I think that's stupid, it would take most teams probably about 15 seconds just to communicate the next play and line up. And it seemed like many of them didn't expect that, as you can see Williams is signaling to the receivers to hurry back after the sack. Took them about 23 secs. The coach has to recognize that it's going to take too long to get back and burn the timeout.

:dahell:LIONS ARE 25TH IN PASSING DEFENSE.

YOU LET THAT TOUCHDOWN STAT FOOL YOU.

Caleb and Bill Belichick (with a real offensive coordinator, Belly seems to hate those type, though) I think it would work.

Dude just gotta finish this season off with some pride.

Williams already seems to be learning from the school of Rodgers int avoidance so he will probably sync in with an old school head coach.
