People need to understand how race is a social construct because in different countries, Thandie would be put in different categories.

First of all Frederick didn’t even know who his father was. He was just told he was white. His mother was a slave so guess what? If he was half white, it was from rape. Frederick was taken from his mother as a child like plenty of other slave children.

Malcolm X’s mother was a product of rape. Her mother was raped by a white man.

They are not in the same category as a biracial or mixed person who is a product of a consensual interracial union.

You can clearly see her African ancestry despite the the fact that she’s 75% White. She could pass for one of my cousins and we haven’t had direct White ancestry in several generations. I don’t know where you’re from, but for me, it’s shocking to see someone that has majority White ancestry look like that. I would expect her took like Eartha Kitt’s daughter.
