She did an interview with a British newspaper years ago, saying she doesn’t identifying with her Zimbabwean mother culture and she sees herself as English (white) mind you her mom raised her, when I read that I went off her completely.

Yup, this confirms my post above. The woman in the marriage almost always acquiesce to the husband’s culture. No matter how much she tries to instil her culture into the child’s.

With boys it’s a bit different, as well as single parents of biracial children but I don’t wanna get way too off topic. Maybe for another thread.
