I get what you're saying but for me I better be seen as an american in any country I go to. I don't look down on people in the third world and I know that Im a guest in their countries and act accordingly.

Yeah clearly if you assume racism is going to happen indeed it's not worth going to this or that country, if you expect the worst before hand. Makes sense not to go. You'd still be treated as an American though, most people know quite well how to differentiate Black Americans from Africans imo. You might not be treated as a White American, but you probably won't be treated like any Black person either, rather as a Black American. You still got the right passport and currency.

I'm not totally sure where the focus on dating comes from though, maybe I missed something in the thread but dating situation doesn't come into account at all when I'm thinking about potentially moving somewhere tbh.

You traveled so you know that you can get a date in Uzbekistan but homie's question was Thailand vs Colombia (and dude is half Colombian) Those countries are night and day different and it's kind of ridiculous to compare them. but the one trait they share is that they're known for sex tourism.
