Tried to binge watch 1 & 2, stopped watching 1 after he cut the hanging girl in half by her vagina. Whoever wrote this script is sick as fukk. There’s no plot or twist to this
Co worker was talking bout the movies last week so tried to give the first one a watch.... :why: low budget look, no plot stopped after 20 mins... not sure i can finish it

I understand this movie isn’t for everyone completely. But for the people who don’t get why other people like it I think it’s pretty simple really. Back in the day we had the greatest horror icons. We had Freddy, Jason, and so on. A shyt load of them.

Today we don’t really have anybody. I’m not comparing him to any of them, but in modern times he kind of stands alone as a character that catches eyes. So it’s a void that he is filling whether people like it or not, due to the lack of new horror villains . Me personally I like his dimeaner and find him funny at times, while nailing the creepy looks and smiles. Without him I wouldn’t care as much for the movie. But I did enjoy the plot personally

I do get that point and it's valid but the difference to me is that the Terrifier films are really bad movies in my opinion.

I know people have praised the special effects and all but I really think its praise is due to what you said. People want the iconic character of their generation but I don't think history will be kind to these movies.

Freddy, Jason, etc all at the very least had rules and storylines. this shyt has nothing. the attempt to do that shyt in part 2 was horrendously bad. like someone who has never written a movie before gave it a shot, and it was just excused b/c people have gore boners.

i'll watch this with an open mind later.

(hate watch with no open mind)

Most of us are just getting old. So you're growing out of the genre. Majority of the elm street, friday, and halloween sequels are shyt also so this is no different yet yall give those a pass

:ehh:There’s been plenty of new faces in horror. That’s at least known mainstream wise, or only recognized in horror spaces. But as a slasher Art is definitely getting up there. Especially since his movies are becoming more popular. Crazy how the Terrifier series popped, while the Hatchet series didn’t. When both series kinda shares the same appeal. Shows you just how important a good villain is.

Just threw on Terrifier 2 since I have a light break from the kid, we'll see how this goes but expecting just more nastiness. My fomo got the best of me, and I gotta wait for the latest Conjuring
