I don't know what it is about terminator 3 and this new film but it just doesn't feel "dark". T1 felt scary, foggy, dark. T2 captured the same feeling but due to how grand it was, it still doesn't match the original. T3 just felt glossy, corny and horrible all around. T4 kind of got back to the darker tone again, but they fukked the story up BADLY. This shyt seems to have the same glossy feel of T3. After T2 they should have found a way to bring keep Edward Furlong and the original Sarah Conner. This franchise has gone to shyt.

Cinematography in T3 was not gritty and the casting was terrible. It was basically T2 all over again just 10x worse.
The action had its moments but it still is way below the original 2. T1 was so low budget it looked like a c level horror film..but talented directors make a world of difference.

:dead:

the only reason why i'm interested in this movie is because i want to see how they fix all these time paradoxes. i don't know why they're so afraid of the skynet that shyt sent like 20 terminators to one time line and still can't kill one girl or kid. i wouldn't be surprised if sarah conner's great grandparents weren't giving steam punk terminators that work back in the 1800s:heh:

They should have just kept the storyline going from from Sarah Connor Chronicles. Instead of always trying to kill the Connors, there are different terminators and different soldiers all with different missions. Instead of Khaleesi, it should've been Cersei reprising her role as Sarah. She even had the same bad a$$ look Linda Hamilton had.

That was one of my favorite parts about TSCC, was how they had so many different terminators with different missions.

The movie doesn't look terrible, honestly looks like a decent action movie...

I don't even mind flabby Arnold reprising his role again...

The storyline though is just falt out stupid and I don't even need to watch the movie to know that...
John a terminator?:dahell:

This article was posted six months ago and it looks like it was fukkin true :mindblown:
http://www.cinemablend.com/m/new/Why-Terminator-Genisys-Could-Franchise-Killing-Disaster-67901.html
In the years since 1991, when James Cameron's T2: Judgement Day was released, the Terminator franchise hasn't exactly been booming. Neither 2003's Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines nor 2009's Terminator Salvation were seen as living up to the classic first two movies in the series, and as a result the property laid dormant for a good number of years. It's finally set to come back next year in the form of Terminator Genisys, a reboot of sorts that is expected to launch a new trilogy, but if new reports are to be believed, then the franchise's future may not be that bright.

This new info comes to us from the folks at Schmoes Knows, who have gotten word from an inside source that Terminator: Genisys is so bad it could wind up killing the sci-fi franchise completely. Wanting to avoid spoilers and not ruin the film for people that may still be interested in seeing it, the show host really only spoke in vague terms and didn't provide any concrete details, but his tone was harsh enough. A number of flaws are pointed at, including a villain who comes from out of left field, incredibly confusing and convoluted time travel elements, and a wholly new kind of Terminator that takes one step beyond the hybrid that was played by Sam Worthington inTerminator Salvation. It's added that this new brand of Terminator is actually a big spoiler, and is described as a "reach."

Adding further details (and one that I actually think is kind of cool), the source also says that Terminator: Genisys will connect back to James Cameron's original movie in a very significant way. Apparently there is a sequence in the film that features the original T-800 in all his glory. In order to make this happen, it sounds like the production will be doing a bit of digital de-aging - akin to what was done with Jeff Bridges in Tron Legacy. How the character fits intoTerminator: Genisys' plot is unclear, but it is interesting that a firm continuity link is being made between the newest sequel and the first film.

We still have a while to wait before we'll be able to see the Alan Taylor-directed feature for ourselves - as Paramount Pictures doesn't have the movie set for release until July 1st of next year- but it may not be too long before we get to see the first trailer for the film. Terminator Genisys, based on a script by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier, is currently in post-production, and features a really solid cast that includes Arnold Schwarzenegger (returning as the T-800), Emilia Clarke (as the new Sarah Connor), Jason Clarke (as humanity's savior John Connor), Jai Courtney(as Kyle Reese), Matt Smith, Byung-hun Lee, and J.K. Simmons. Here's hoping it can defy expectations.

Lol I noticed that too. The trailers as a whole have been down right bizarre and just directionless. I'm supposed to go see if first day but I ain't all that interested, but yet I'm curious.
