Yeah, I dont know about most of the excuses here.

I see a whole message boards EVERY Saturday talking about all types of games and teams from PWIs, and how they are watching those games every week.
I see alot of messages about support black businesses/dont give money to whitey, but then people wont pay the 5 to go to a HBCU game?
Why do we go and tailgate at HBCU games but not go in? I saw that mentioned earlier, but why is that a thing?
Do we not have any other Black figures that people will go see other then Deion?
Tennessee State is a bad example because they are in a conference and playing mostly teams that Black people dont care about (yeah, this means you too NC A&T and Hampton), but we dont even watch our Black schools on TV. NCCU/Morgan St only had about 27,000 viewers last Thursday. Why dont we support our Black schools?

Houston to LA like I'm Robert Horry.
At some point, if the community is serious, we're gonna have to have the conversation about how alumni (and other Black companies and organizations) don't financially support HBCUs, but then arrogantly criticize coaches when they move on from there due to lack of resources... and then play the "you owed the community more/better than that" card.

...but nah, the community don't wanna be introspective and self-accountable in a raw convo like that yet. :patrice::sas2:
Any grown man fixing their mouth to comment how another man provides for his family is a weak ass nikka IMO. As long as he ain’t shytting on the black community in the process(Like Black Republicans) get your money for you family however you need to.

Always the brokest Nikkas who don’t even volunteer/mentor/donate nothing kicking that shyt too

Dont come in here and try to make TSU problems, problems for HBCU football in general. TSU never really had fan support because they got an off campus stadium they play in and it’s way too large a venue for their nor attendance. Plus they don’t play many other HBCUs cause they too good to join the SWAC or MEAC.
This.

Tenn St.’s fans come out when they’re playing other HBCU’s but don’t when they’re in conference play. Tenn. St.’s arrogant leadership is at fault here.

Jackson State numbers still booming without Deion, as well as other HBCU schools relative to baseline FCS attendance but the same old c00n nikkas still came in here ready to immediately begin babbling blanketed nonsense instead of addressing why Tennessee States own head coach is shytting specifically on his OWN “fanbase” and their specific disinterest in HIS team:mjlol: Embarrassing

And HBCU attendance is down across the board. Used to be a time when SU would not only pack their own stadium, but bring 20,000 to their away games and outnumber you in yours.

SWAC games were always well attended, but alotta those die hard fans have gotten older/died.

TYRONE GA!
I was going back and forth with some dumb ass nikkas on FB about this story. Further proved to me that nikkas only love hype and don’t follow thru on what they try to shame other Black folks to do. One mf honestly said “TSU need to schedule all home games against P5 schools.” Another said “they need to stop playing games at an NFL stadium,” completely ignoring the Titans pay TSU to utilize their facilities and that stadium is only a 10 min ride from campus. Not like it’s driving from Coral Gables to Miami Gardens (no shots). Mf’s just attracted to clicks and not substance.

nikkaz being full of shyt....more news at 11.

Above the fray.
The pro sports franchises and big business are REALLY behind TSU.
They play their home games where the Titans play, for example.
And they're winning. 5-2 and one of those losses was a money game against Notre Dame.

Hard to figure out why the area is not getting behind the team.

It makes total sense when you remember who makes up most of the population in that area.

As @DalMem mentioned, that's a 4 hour drive from Memphis and not something that can be done every weekend. If you live anywhere in southwest Tennessee, it's going to be a bit of a drive for you.

There are over 180,000 Black people in Davidson County, TN . Out of the 4 HBCUs in metro Nashville, TSU is the only one that fields a football team.
Football is King in the South, it doesn't add up that the area isn't getting behind a program that is winning.

If that's the logic you want to apply, then you could ask that same question about every city that has an HBCU and football or even sports team in general. The fact of the matter is that just because a football team or sports team at all is in your city doesn't necessarily mean that you're going to be behind it and support it.

Ever team isn't going to get the same support from the fans in that area and unfortunately TSU is one of them.
