Eh.....I don't run into many niccas who don't fukk wit CFB. Even more so now with all of the gambling and shyt.

At the very least, like you said, it's mad casuals. But We not watching at any less of a clip than any other race, prob even more so with our per capita #s

I think the NBA is at like 45% nicca viewership and that's about the same as far as casual watching with CFB

Those numbers seem off. Brehitos be avid college football fans? :dahell:

At some point, if the community is serious, we're gonna have to have the conversation about how alumni (and other Black companies and organizations) don't financially support HBCUs, but then arrogantly criticize coaches when they move on from there due to lack of resources... and then play the "you owed the community more/better than that" card.

...but nah, the community don't wanna be introspective and self-accountable in a raw convo like that yet. :patrice::sas2:

Alumni can give, but it’s a difference when the creator of under armour cuts you a 10 million dollar check every year exclusively for football

There’s no support for hbcu’s unless you a few of the gems that get the lions share of money

Black coach’s that coach at hbcu’s don’t ever move up, because it’s a glass ceiling coaching there, a lot of these coaches made sue with what they had, Deion had his eyes day one on a bigger prize, jsu was never going to keep up

Ohio State Eddie must have not known how it is at HBCU's. People come to tailgate and hang outside. The band is more important than the actual football game to most HBCU's. I don't think that's something that's going to change.

That was the problem and it needs to change, them folks depend on gate tickets

Another thing people need to come to the realization of is that college football is not that big in the black community. We love the NBA and NFL though and will spend money to attend games. College football is usually some shyt that we'll watch casually but not passionately.

I think more black folk like cfb than people account for

Posters are also overlooking the important fact that these states are knowingly witholding funds from HBCU's and instead giving it to the PWI institutions, which could help narrow the gap and improve the quality of life for some of these schools and sports programs. It's all not necessarily on the alumni.

Backwards talk from George . you are a entertainment provider, you never cry about people leaving, you figure out what you have to do to get their butts in the seat and keep them there.
Do they have a band?

Does the band keep the audience engaged?

Typically HBCUs the band is just as important as the team.

People don't owe you their time or attention, you earn it, the entitlement of entertainers is something else though.

Deion used to be begging the fans to come in the game and not just hang in the parking lot. But ya'll telling me black folks absolutely love college football? :patrice:

TYRONE GA!

HBCU alums are not the average black american though.

Dropping 20 bucks a year ain't much for a start. nikkaz waste more than 20 dollars on bullshyt every month so dropping off at least a dub to your alma mater that you claim to love so much and rep ain't asking for much.

All excuses. No one said you have to break your pockets, but do something and help. Those HBCUs were alums do give back decently prosper.

Still baffles me how Willie Simmons has not gotten a Power 5 opportunity yet. I know Prime has been advocating for him but to no avail. He's a hell of a coach and leader.
