As long as millionaires are running the democratic party theyll lose in 28. If they get pushed out of the party and an individual with charisma and an understanding of how to cultivate, motivate, and inspire followers shows up, then they will succeed in getting overwhelming numbers of people to vote. If he rigs the election, those people who number in the MILLIONS whose lives have been made so bad that they feel they have nothing to lose, will riot and they might even form militias. They won't accept an obviously rigged election.
The difference between America and Russia or most other countries is that America never started out as a dictatorship. There is no culture of submission to un elected leaders here and 4 years will not be enough time to cultivate one.
If Trump destroys the economy for the majority of people who can say "things were bad under Biden but not THIS bad, they wont just lay down and accept their lives getting worse if someone comes along and provides a vision of the future or a nostalgia for a time when America was run by a popular Democrat who made life better for the public at large.

If the supreme court decides "official acts" are legal, Cortez can become president, order a hit on Trump and if her policies are popular she runs two more times, wins, and continues to undo all the damage Trump caused.
