At first glance he looks like Wang Jinrei part 2 with 10× greater animations and additional tools.. On vacation until Monday, cant wait to fight him
To me he looks like a modern Lei without the excessive stances.
Faced 2 good Leroys last night, gonna pick him up this weekend.

The bear hug position where you have to guess the throw is insane
He has it as a counter from one more and Also as an armor move from stance
I could be wrong but unlike the Marduk tackle, there isn’t any indicator as to which slam he’s going to do
The armor move is only -12 on block too. Most people who know Ganryu are going to break with 1+2 because of the launch, so you can get a free 48 damage + side switch if you want it almost every time. That'll drive people crazy online.
The stance itself isn't so bad if the transitions are entered on block or in the neutral. A backdash is gonna account for every option except that sliding low (zero tracking) and you can easily whiff punish the stomp. But if the transition has plus frames like out of the handslaps.....you're gonna eat a mix up. and if the Ganryu player is good, they'll condition people to respect the stance transition and instead continue to pressure outside of it.

That's that loser shyt. I remember back in the Tekken 5 days dudes wouldn't play with their card because they were afraid they would lose rank from getting their fake rank exposed.

He’s a tournament level player , he just knew everything I was gonna do and never messsed up a punish , also that counter palm throw

I haven't seen it in here yet, but Leroy is ridiculous.
I'm glad to see a black character is the best in the game but I'll gladly await his nerf.
He is amazing up close, I've been leveling up my game because he is so good. He gets conversions off of everything. There are some elite - to me- Leroys that I've gone back and forth with my Jin, the matchup is in my favor during long sets.
Invisible 50/50s, plus frames and huge ass damage. Dude is wild.

I thought people were overreacting about Leroy until I played one. He’s got a top tier version of almost every tool in the game without any of the execution barrier. Someone said he plays like boss character and I agree with that. Like a cooler version of True Ogre.
They’ll nerf him for sure. But Bamco never kills top tier characters - they do more harm to mid/lower tiers for whatever fukking reason - so he’ll probably always be really obnoxious and make me question why I play Miguel when Leroy exists.
