On the bright side, I've met some strong players and am keeping up with with them.

Starting to see the game and how it is to be played.

when we played the other day I thought you had good fundamentals with Jin. just a matter of figuring out what works best against specific matchups and getting that experience

I'm currently working with Miguel. Let me know when you want to play again

We can run tomorrow night. I want to hit practice mode for a bit tonight.

Watching Eye Musician always makes me want to pick up Yoshi

Then I play him for a bit and realize how stoned you have to be to find real success with the character. Still really fun to play though.

if @Black_Jesus isn't the best player in this thread I'd be surprised. ggs man

Lost something like 25-6, most of the wins coming against Jack who has a weak sidestep. ten straight losses against his Asuka. Knew exactly how to beat all the Bear gimmicks and whiff punished everything. Got maybe four or five CH d1+2's out of HBS, totally neutralized that strat. Correctly sidestepped left to avoid the Bears db2- WS4 frametrap, as well as db3-df4.

gotta work on punishment for sure. Didn't launch a single tooth fairy or back three. Didn't duck any strings. Didn't twin piston Kazumi's shouryuken. Space control was bad, got walked to the wall every match where my character is most vulnerable. Have a bad habit of doing to full string of FC1, second hit is easily low parriable and that happened about six times.

Need to figure out what my options are against players who step and pressure well. Don't really have good safe pokes that track like Paul or Steve's whole movelist. Probably time to develop a secondary for bad matchups

It's a uphill battle trying to win with the bears. they suck, but I was surprised I dont think you threw out demon uppercut more than twice the entire set.. Which is Kuma's best attack imo, a Safe mid long range launcher.. Aside from that, Work on your block punishment and learn what strings you can duck and launch.. ggs though :salute:

only safe if it hits at tip range, which I'm usually not comfortable with trying for outside of guaranteed set ups since the recovery is so terrible (you were launching everything I whiffed in the mid range, even HBS d1+2). Anywhere else and it's launch punishable. It can also be sidewalked to the right unless placed well so it's not that good of a move compared to Hei's ff2. twin pistons is the Bears best move imo, but it rewards great defensive knowledge and I don't got that yet.

I'm all over that punishment trainer whenever it gets released though. Will help a lot.
