@Mowgli you up for some games tonight? Panda vs Kuma, maybe Miguel/Paul

-use a fast mid poke to knock bears out of their hunting stance

-the low swipes from the hunting stance are either 0 or only +1 on hit. so they shouldn't be allowed to continue pressure from that

-sidewalk constantly at far ranges so their WR1+2 move doesn't hit (if it does, guarantees a transition into HBS stance). Bears generally have crap tracking on their moves so poking combined with movement is very effective against them

-know what your characters bear specific combos are. most can do some extra fukked up shyt that only works on bears

-213 (2) isn't a real mixup. can be fuzzy guarded

-lots of their moves are launch punishable and if you don't do so, they'll get away with murder. worth going into the lab to figure out what you can do

-don't whiff moves. bears have some of the best whiff punishment in the game

-don't stay on the ground when they have rage

once all the gimmicks are gone, Bears are shyt. but it does take some labbing
That's a lot to remember I'm real time.

Every player has a weakness tailored to their offensive style. People who launch are weak to launchers for example.

My bears are about getting my shyt off enough to program patterns. I try to fight to put peoplen on defense So I can set a pattern then switch. Aggressive playstulr. Sometimes you have to stop fighting all together and chase a whiff.

you can get people caught up in a bear matrix that just drains their life

But yes good players pressure the bear and have a good mix of lows

Once I start block punishing lows, it's over

It is a lot to remember. but I'd say it's easier to adjust to Bears than just about every other character in the game b/c their options are relatively limited. 30 minutes in the lab vs Bears can teach someone struggling with the matchup a lot.

but you're right that Tekken is usually more about the player than character. Often times I'll do WR 1+2 into nothing just to see how they respond, or go into bear stance in the neutral and do nothing. If they're used to hopkicking, downjabing, panic rage arts, whatever pattern against Bears, I punish that strat until they switch to something else then do the usual stuff.

It's about pulling the opponent into your mind game with a few successful defenses offenses and it pressures. All characters are viable if you know how to find ur opponents playstyle weakness.

Copped Ultimate on sale. So much to relearn...seems okay though. The armor moves are really stupid, though.

No Leroy Smith?
We'll likely see gameplay during the Tekken World Tour finals on Saturday night/Sunday morning. If he drops same time, like they've done before, then I'm all for it. Been playing, but chilling on online and locals cuz I'm impatiently waiting on Leroy

Has the connection been really bad as of late for anyone else?

Also, all of the characters except Zafina are on sale individually until the 22nd of this month on PSN.

yeah, ranked has been a crapshoot on PSN. I get way better matches on PC.
