Comic book writers jumped the shark with these power ups. This is why I gave up on American comics. One writer overpowers them, the next writer retcons it, next writer retcons the retcon, etc.
He went from faster than a speeding bullet to traversing the universe like it's nothing.

No hes no mutant. Just like Doom isnt a mutant..nor is Molecule Man. His powers come from Cyttorak and he cant be harmed, cant age and can survive any attack. He's not gonna bleed or be cut. All that isnt gonna work.
He isn't nowhere near as fast as Surfer unless he was given yet another power up in the last few years. Surfer can suck all that yellow sunlight from him and make him less than human..just like he did to the Hulk when he laughed his punches off and took the gamma radiation out of his body in record time. Surfer wipes the JLA out. Not even a fair fight.
Gladiator would neve get away with that in comics..he was debuting so they had to show him kicking the ass of someone ultra credible.
