But if it was Curtis Axel giving them, no one woulda given a shyt.

Fair enough, the charisma & presence of Brock Lesnar goes a long way but he's a technically sound wrestler and WWE used those German Suplexes as a selling point for the match.

See Brock Lesnar suplex Cena 16 times for 9.99 :lolbron:

Kurt Angle(during his run in WWE) disagrees. Especially when he fought Brock at WM 19. Hulk needs to get his old ass out of here.:camby:

If you can't wrestle than the match becomes stale. Its a reason why Hulk matches are so damn repetitive with the same moves.
Did you watch Kurt Angle's matches when he 1st debuted?

He was showered with a shytload of "boring" chants

I disagree. Why can't we have both? Reminds me of people who say music can't be lyrical and "good", it has to be repetitive and elementary to appeal to people and play in clubs...they're right. Clubs started in the 2000s, no one danced or went clubbing (where hiphop was being played) before that. :beli:

You can have jokes, good storylines/promos, and good, entertaining wrestling.

What the hell with that wheelchair stuff? :dead:

Anyway. Hogan should be thankful them WCW vanilla midgets were holding the ship straight with their technical piffness while he was giving stinkers in the main event with the likes of Piper and Warrior (R.I.P.)
watch Starrcade 96 breh

crowd is :dead: during the Jushin Liger/Rey Mysterio match

but they were :ooh::krs: :dj2: when Hogan put over Piper

But if Kurt Angle was not also a great character and wasn't able to provide charismatic, dramatic moments in the ring, he would've never main-evented Mania or been in main event level feuds. Angle was a total package.
In THIS case, Kurt's in-ring skill was more important than his gimmick in the long run. You couldn't do the dorky douchebag Olympic Hero shyt if Kurt had a limited move set. Yeah, the character ended up a big hit and solidified him as an all-time great, but it needed him to be a technical machine in the ring to work...Kurt needed to be able to back up his claims in the ring if people were supposed to care.

But it only works because people were invested in the Kurt character. Otherwise, you're Benjamin and Haas.
