As someone actively looking for a new job.:hhh:. it's rough out here. Just got a hold on until what I have smh

Had my contract swiftly ended at the end of October and been looking ever since. Granted, 4th Quarter is always rough hiring wise but gotdamn. You can usually throw a rock in my field, with my certs, and find u something. Shyt aint moving at all doe.

I just landed a screening with a recruiter. Hopefully something good come out if it. Everything else have ended in rejection. Job I obviously qualify for don't even bother doing a screening.

Recruiting is a scam, I swear. And I say that as somebody's who's done a few contracts with crootin' agencies at this point and will most likely do another with how slow organizations move on their own internally.

Spamming you on LinkedIn, email, text, etc., only to ghost you at some point throughout the process.

Having you send over resume + credentials to verify everything about yourself while they are super cryptic about whatever position they're tryna sell u on until you agree that they can represent you.

Not providing updates or pushin' companies to provide updates, even if it's just a "we chose to go in another direction" after youve jumped thru multiple hoops, did 2-3 interviews etc.

Not budging on their # when they clearly just wanna take more off top for their portion.

It's a mess.

I had 3 interviews in Dec & nothing came of em even tho mfs had me meeting the whole team & everything on 2nd and 3rd interviews.

Talkin' to another mf recruiter now, see how that go smh.

G'luck on that recent one.

shyt is crazy out here, I got a few things in the pipeline - very early stages - but recruiters and ATS’s definitely bullshytting, getting rejected from shyt i’m super qualified for while anytime I can get direct to a hiring manager they’re interested, so it ain’t my resume/qualifications, just way too many applicants for too few roles

This is messed up. Are they saying it's "performance based" to get around the WARN act and paying severance? How can you treat people that way?
Companies do this when moving jobs to India. My company has done this for years. Give American workers terrible performance reviews so you can fire them with cause. And that frees up money move jobs over to India. You can hire almost 10 Indians for what you pay 1 American.
