Cheaper workers will soon be on the way.
:wow:

Kamala Harris as President would make it easier for you to move to the US

Legal Immigration

H-1B Visa Program: Harris would likely maintain and potentially expand the H-1B visa program, focusing on making the process more transparent and fair. She may advocate for increasing the number of visas available and ensuring that the selection process is equitable. There could be efforts to streamline the application process and reduce the backlog of applications, making it easier for skilled workers to obtain work visas.

Y'all been a part of 8 hours calls? Because I sure have. Y'all ever been necessary on 8 hours calls? Because I sure haven't :unimpressed:
Funny you say that, almost all the 8 hour calls I have been on have been related to some type of major incident. Majority of the 1-2 hours calls I've been on have been unnecessary. It's gotten to the point I don't even jump on the calls unless my CISO says he needs me on it. I just tell people to ping me on teams if something is needed.

With job referrals, do you all hit up people you haven’t spoken to in years? Or people you hardly spoke to even when you did work at the same company as them?

Because there’s 2 jobs at unicorns that pay a good chunk of change more than I’m currently making. My current job isn’t bad, but I’m slightly under 6 figures

I’m making 30k less here than my last job :francis:

These ones are [supposed to be] requirements gathering and figuring out implementation and architecture. It's actually discussions back and forth about what we need to discuss. If the architecture work wasn't being forced on me and the other lead developers then I wouldn't even bother.

Yep that's how my 1-2 hours calls usually go. That or are bunch of finger pointing/arguing and absolutely nothing productive:francis:
