Some ppl like the idea of being parents without doing hard work. Having said that I'm not enamored by the mother either. They need to be raising the kid together.
You also need to be careful who you lay with but from what I've seen both were effed up.

So it looks like the priest is dirty as hell but I'm not convinced he's the killer.
Mare's ex may not be the killer either but his story about just wanting to help Erin doesn't pass the smell test.
And why does every a$$hole in that town keep acting like its cool to lie or keep info from Mare while she's investigating a fukking murder? She's better than me because I'd have been hauling mofos down to the station in cuffs regardless of whether I'd known them for my entire life or not.
