Aint it funny how people will say sh#t and then be on some "yea but I actually f#ck with him tho." Sounds just like "no disrespect but" and then they commence to disrespect.
Dude has created three top-selling documentaries aimed at dispersing historical facts regarding the African continent and the African impact on world history. Facts that are otherwise kept out of the mainstream and away from most black people who would fit Tariq's core audience. A fourth one dropping in a few weeks, which will be played in movie theatres across the country.
In my opinion, that's a big thing. Why is it a big thing? Because no one else has been able to do it at the level he has. How many blacks have been able to not only do a documentary on that level and then have it played in the movie theatres? Not to mention, dude stepped away from a lucrative lane, dating and relationships, to talk about a non-lucrative lane, African history.
He could've just ignored the race issue and kept doing what he was doing. Like most black public figures do. But he didn't.
Not to mention, dude has created a foundation that donates money to black businesses and black schools across the country and the world. I donate to that foundation and I feel good knowing that the money I send every month, along with the donations of others, has been used to help black schools in America, black orphanages in Africa and even black business people. Not to mention create a website dedicated to dispersing news catered to black, socially conscious people.
So, how is he a poverty pimp? And if he is a poverty pimp who doesn't offer solutions, which is a lie, then what solutions can you offer?
Peace
