Well, people regret that they stayed home in 2016, and not getting fooled by that again.
For what? More than likely after 2 or 3 pages of going back and forth, we will most likely remain firm on our opinion's. To pretty much sum it up though, I believe real power isn't gained through voting. Voting is just an illusion to keep people from rioting. If you knew that you were in a dictatorship you're very much more likely to rebel but the illusion of choice will allow those in power to remain in power without the threat of being overthrown. Back in the older days the kings castle would get overthrown after some time but if you can't see the king and believe you're in a democracy, you won't rebel because you'll believe that you chose your fate so you can only blame yourself for not choosing correctly.

Why can't we ask questions like these and Put energy into voting for policies and candidates that can push them?

Do people need to ask questions and hold the people in office accountable regardless of party ? Yes

There can be both and voting requires that you do both.

I'm black and the question is not logical. It lacks logical thinking because you literally have to vote if you want people in office that represents you.

Many people vote but don't know what happens after they vote .
Ask many of the people if they know what their senator did while in office. What their senator said about key issues? They have to look it up 9/10 times.
Lots of people don't know what goes on in their local or state government until the news reports the aftermath.
Go outside of this forum into the TLR or the sport forum and ask these questions. Your thread will go double wood because the general public doesn't care.
