:what:

dig myself out of exactly what ?

all you keep doing is regurgitating insignificant things as 2 turntables , mics , MC’s , special techniques , sound systems etc. etc. which has absolutely nothing to do with the creation of the music …. we all know hip-hop was created by the Breakbeat …. and we all know Herc was the DJ emphasize that Breakbeat

that’s a fact there is nothing else to be said
Stated explicitly in this thread that the break beat did not come from herc

Yeah, he responded back/dissed Flash but the vid isn't on youtube anymore
Ok, thanks. Do you recall the name of the response vid?

I will do some more digging into the Hercules and Flashgorden and see if I can find it.

:snoop:

i see you must’ve missed the word “ emphasized “

But herc wasn't the first to emphasize "breaks". This is a myth due to younger heads who saw Herc but were not able to witness firsthand the cats who actually pioneered that style of djing in the adult/disco clubs, that herc himself actually went to and peeped game from. Those younger heads incorrectly credit Herc for originating playing the "break" part of the record because they never saw the true pioneers of that style/they saw them much later after they were old enough to get into the adult clubs.
