There's your keyword. Wolverine will be recast. Iron man when he's brought back from the dead in 10 years will be recast. Black Panther will be recast. Deadpool isn't even finished yet but he too will eventually be recast.
Tarantino saying these nikkas are Aunt Viv and you just recast and keep it moving like they did with Quicksilver.

They will literally have to reboot franchises for the general audience to accept the recast. And like James Bond and Spiderman everyone isn't going to accept a new actor

lol yeah I'm sure anyone else playing Ironman, Wolverine or Black Panther would've brought those characters to life and be well received as RObert Downey, Hugh jackman and Chadwick Boseman. The superhero film hate is so fukking stupid
He's not knocking their performance. He's just saying that these roles aren't making them movie stars, the same way we had legitimate movie stars in the 80s, 90s, and even 2000's. They aren't even parlaying the massive success of their MCU fame into massive success outside of the MCU. Not to the extent that famous actors in yesteryear could. Some of these MCU actors are starring in straight to Netflix movies nobody has heard of when they aren't in a MCU flick.

Batman, Spiderman, and Superman have been played by a ton of actors, and will continue to be in the future, along with Ironman, Wolverine, Black Panther. People will have their favorite performances, like some folks prefer Michael Fassbenders Magneto to Ian Mckkellen, but the fact will remain that its the character that is the star....and this reality, which wasn't as strong when RDJ first blew up the role of Iron Man, is getting more pronounced by the year.

Movie stars used to be able to generate huge box office numbers on their names alone. People went to see the latest Arnold movie, or the latest Will Smith movie, or the latest Tom Cruise movie. It didn't really even matter what the movie was about, if it was original or based on something pre-existing. They just wanted to see their favorite movie stars in their next thing. And studios would greenlight movies based on the box office appeal of these stars. But that has shifted in the era of Marvel Studios and franchise film building.

I don’t

oh ok my bad
QT is a pure artist in film..he acts, directs and writes his own films. So he has more leverage with his takes. But it still makes him a hater some what cause if these films wasnt a huge draw he wouldnt comment on them.

Except they wont. These are comic book movies with a large continuity and several of these characters are required for them to bring certain major arcs to the big screen. This is different from any of those standalone batman and spiderman movies. We've literally never seen anything like it in cinema.

Quentin Tarantino Says Marvel Actors Aren’t Movie Stars: ‘Captain America Is the Star,’ Not Chris Evans

Jennifer Aniston made headlines at the start of November when she declared, “There are no more movie stars.” It’s a statement that Quentin Tarantino agrees with, as evidenced by the director’s recent interview on “2 Bears, 1 Cave” podcast (via Mediaite). Tarantino attributed the loss of movie stars to the “Marvel-ization of Hollywood.”

“Part of the Marvel-ization of Hollywood is…you have all these actors who have become famous playing these characters,” Tarantino said. “But they’re not movie stars. Right? Captain America is the star. Or Thor is the star. I mean, I’m not the first person to say that. I think that’s been said a zillion times…but it’s like, you know, it’s these franchise characters that become a star.”

For Tarantino, Captain America is the star and not Chris Evans. “I’m not even putting them down frankly, to tell you the truth,” the director said earlier about movie stars no longer existing in bulk. “But that is one of the — the legacy of the Marvel-ization of Hollywood movies.”

Tarantino also clarified in the interview that he does not “hate” Marvel movies but dislikes them for being the only product Hollywood is interested in making these days.

“Look, I used to collect Marvel comics like crazy when I was a kid,” Tarantino said. “There’s an aspect that if these movies were coming out when I was in my twenties, I would totally be fukking happy and totally love them. I mean, they wouldn’t be the only movies being made. They would be those movies amongst other movies. But, you know, I’m almost 60, so yeah. No, I’m not quite as excited about them.”

“My only axe to grind against them is they’re the only things that seem to be made,” he added. “And they’re the only things that seem to generate any kind of excitement amongst a fan base or even for the studio making them. That’s what they’re excited about. And so it’s just the fact that they are the entire representation of this era of movies right now. There’s not really much room for anything else. That’s my problem.”

Don’t expect Tarantino to ever get involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The director said earlier this month he will not helm a Marvel movie because “you have to be a hired hand to do those things. I’m not a hired hand. I’m not looking for a job.”

Tarantino has been making the press rounds this month in support of his book, “Cinema Speculation,” which is now available for purchase

I agree with this. Thats the mistake Black Panther director/producers made. They forgot ”black panther/Tchalla” was the star not Chadwick.

Tarantino and his style would’ve made an absolute KILLING with any DC Property he wanted to choose. Imagine a Tarantino “Killing Joke”, that shyt would’ve been 🔥 🔥 🔥

Yes as a film, as it isnt art...yes it isnt. Its a movie, not cinema....

Its like me hating on realism and hyper realism.

You arent creating real art..you are fukking copying...but hyper realism makes folls froth at the mouth..so I get it....but yes...its still hating.

Great analogy on hyper realism, stupid motherfukkers go to a museum and think thats the end all be all
