Are you going to throw the bag at an actress for a 20 minute role whose biggest hit is a supporting role in a movie that only made $28 million?

I’m not sure I’d consider Hustle and Flow a breakout role if it took her another 5-6 years to find mainstream success after the fact.

"Hustle & Flow" was released in 2005, and it was one of the reasons she was cast in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in 2007, which was released in 2008. She was nominated for an OSCAR for Benjamin Button, which is considered major. That is only a 2-3 year gap, so where are you getting 5 to 6 years from?

Also, if you watch the video, Taraji's asking price for "The Curious Case" was "only" $500,000. Do you consider that "a bag"? In her memoir, she also revealed that she had to pay for ALL of her hotel accommodations while shooting the film in New Orleans for 3 months.

you got a link for that, cause Pitt doesn’t have the film resume to make that sound believable.

:mjlol: You kidding breh?

Brad Pitt is one of the most famous and recognizable actors of the past 30 years and has box office of 5 billion + in sales as a leading man

Does anyone think Henson should have been paid CLOSE to what the actual STARS of the movie were paid? What are we doing here. This is nonsense. It's a Brad Pitt movie, starring Blanchett as his love interest. They got paid more than everyone else. As they should have been.

She definitely should have been paid more for her role in the movie, it had a budget of 160 million dollars. 650k-350K wouldn’t have been crazy considering she was a big part of the supporting cast. But she played her role well in the film and it definitely helped her future earnings and negotiations with the success of the movie.

Above the fray.
Denzel and Halle said negative
First project that I recall Denzel producing or directing was Antoine Fisher.

It was AFTER the Training Day Oscar and the promotion for the film had "from Oscar Winner, Denzel Wasington" all over it.

Great Debaters also.

Certain he wanted to direct projects before then, and was well qualified. Got the nod after the Best Actor stamp.

I hear your point, but stand by what I wrote. Opening doors doesn't always mean the same thing.

I don’t think brad Pitt has ever gotten 20 million for a film. Dudes pull isn’t that big. She also only had about 20 minutes of screen time in Benjamin Button and hadn’t really had a breakout role by the time it had filmed.
He probably negotiates on the backend of his films

It’s not what you think you’re worth or should make, but more so what you can negotiate. That’s how Hollywood works.

Your average actor/actress isn’t even making that type of bread per movie even with a major budget. People are going to really disappointed when they find out their favorite celebrity isn’t as rich as they initially thought.

A few years ago, Taraji said that "PERSON OF INTEREST" (CBS TV series) was the most money she had consistently made in Hollywood. However, she was miserable on set and decided to leave after a few years on the series. By that point, she probably had a good savings and more opportunities.

It was never revealed, but I think her salary per episode was around $75,000.
I loved that show and her on it

She said she wasn't asking for that
