Oh, he’s asking you if you ever enlisted/commissioned .

Brother we did! Lol
Women were getting educated, children were starting too as well. Their fighters are the ones who quit. That’s why the first thing they did was shut the colleges down and sent the women back home.

I can can only put my Rangers on the line through so much especially if they don’t wanna put that other foot forward.

To be fair they did alright as long as we watched over operations but that shii got tiring because it was basically us still doing everything and so the American people wanted us home
I posted something from NPR in a response to you about how corruption and lack of education doomed the Afghan military. How the commandos that could and wanted to fight had no support.

It was the U.S. military that held everything together, hence why the country fell so quickly when we left.

Again, it was not your fault because the quality and caliber of men you were getting was on the Afghan government, which was more interested in stealing money and getting the fukk out of there.

shyt I had friends that went to Iraq and they told me Iraqis were way easier to deal with than what they heard from brehs that went to Afghanistan

Alotta the personnel were remnants of the Iraqi Republican Guard were still around so that tactical ability/combat discipline was around.

Just from outta my POV

Nothing you said was anything of merit. You only wanted to send them back to the Stone Age. Your mind was already set on what you wanted to happen over there. I’d like to think if that’s how you felt you would’ve let your patriotism to see the task all the way thru get you to get up off your ass and do your part. But nope, here you are, sounding like a disgruntled white boy. Probably had shin splints or something
Again, you keep saying dumb shyt. How are air strikes and special forces raids the same thing as invading a country? Would that of been more preferable than what we dealt with for 20 years?

There was no way Afghanistan and the Taliban were not getting hit in some way after not only giving Al-Qaeda refuge, but also protecting them after we wanted them turned over.

You do not need to have served in the military with an M4 in your hands to make valid and relevant points. This is like you can not speak on how bad a sports team is being ran because you never played for that team. That is an insane argument to make.

Facts. It’s because it’s a bigger country in size and populatIon. More difficult to control what’s going on there. Iraq you have some smaller groups fighting for control amongst themselves . Makes it easier to establish US influence as a dominating force. Afghanistan the Taliban fight as one united front . It ain’t all that internal division. So they on a different level in extremist activities iq and intimidation of the population. I had a buddy who was in Iraq and was talking about how the kids would run up on them and stuff and people were friendlier since many did feel like we are making them safer. In Afghanistan it was like no compliance. You got the regular people who are understandably too scared to comply with us out of fear of the Taliban, and the people who were in allegiance with them. You couldn’t trust anything anyone said , and if an old lady approach you it’s fukked yo but you gotta assume it’s nefarious and be at alert. There are good beautiful people there, so I’m not blaming the citizens of course. We invaded..It ain’t they fault. Not to mention we did some cross training exercises with they military and we all felt almost like they were trolling us, the government and they military was so incompetent. Of course it’s because even they were under Taliban influence
