I like the style of the animation, i love the dark and weird storylines, i love how violent they get at times.

I watch anime that end after 25 episodes. The story lines are something to see and appreciate. But sometimes I don't like to admit I watch it because it's a big genre.

So when you say anime, people may think you watching little girls in uniforms or that porn hentai shyt 24/7. I'm also told that I don't look like I watch anime

I'm an anime fan, watch it pretty regularly, I just don't let it bleed into my everyday life, I don't chase after Asian girls and Asian culture.

Yep. I noticed in many animes the lead characters are blond: Full Metal Alchemist, Elric brothers and their father (as well as the lead bad guy), Sailor Moon, Naruto, Bleach etc. Many of their animes like Full Metal have German themed. They are still obsessed with Germany. Their characters rarely look Asian. Like I said in another thread, they know how to draw Asian looking characters since they draw Chinese characters like Chang on Gundam Wing with an Asian look, yet the Japanese characters look like the European characters. The Japanese are a strange people.

Even the main character to Spriggan (which is a good movie) is drawn as an asian:

I actually wrote a paper on Hiroshima's effect on Japanese media in college. Dystopian futures, post-apocalyptic settings are all major tropes loads of anime/manga. And their elevation of certain standards of beauty has a lot to do with American occupation of Japan post WW2.

To be fair, those are major tropes in media in general.
