Exactly. :smh: at anyone thinking its about the test at all, the test is just a way to cover up the blatant disenfranchisement.

As far as the test tho the only one that got me was...

4. Draw a line around the shortest word in this line.

I initially went for "in"...then got to thinking is "A" considered a word? :ohhh:

Oh and there's no way you go in cold and do this test in 10 minutes flat....it probably takes 10 minutes to read the whole damn thing. :loljay:

The test isn't hard at all imo but yeah 10 minutes isn't gonna be enough time for most people

Its basically set up to make people like damn , all white people dis smart :shaq2:?

Might as well let them make all the decisions, their school is so much better, they have all the businesses. :ehh:

Meanwhile :pachaha: types passing the test, walking around the corner and getting jumped.

We'll see what comes of this decision. Just looking at the current climate on disenfranchisement since the recession or so I expect this to be taken advantage of. Not literacy tests like this but something.

Wait....so white people in Mississippi and Alabama would have been able to pass this test...

:wow: :patrice: :lupe: I stopped at question #12 ......... This is the kind of stuff I wish had seen during black history month growing up... one thing to talk about literacy tests for voting, but to actually read one is :snoop:

That crossed my mind too. Like, if a black person in the south read this test, thinking that this was a breeze for white people, what does that do for his self confidence. After this test, they probably gave up trying to vote. You know how many people didn't understand the fukkery involved in taking this test, and just thought they were stupid?

Wow, that African-Amreican struggle. Like a poster said earlier, reading about the bogus literacy tests and actually seeing one are two different things. Worse, many Black people would have written exactly the same answers as their White counterparts and still "failed". anyway, the next American election circus should be interesting.

Exactly, like its supposed to convey that the test evaluates basic literacy. If most people were getting almost no education they would just get confused. And the questions didnt seem grammatically correct even, and if they were they could have been worded much more accessibly.
