most definitely. the pac verse criticism was all facts; some elementary rhyming. if they were from one of the up and coming "lil" rappers they didnt like, same brehs would be talking bout how theyre killing hiphop.
all that said delivery and charisma go a long way.

I know a lot of people would fail at this game too. if you take some unknown songs of guys that the media want to push as all time greats, and quote the lyrics to their fans, they'd swear it was trash. but if you put a face with the lyrics, it's hot. I've seen poser say a beat was was wack but when they're favorite artists is rhyming over the same sample done almost the same way, it's hot.
