They haven't said one way or the other. It wouldn't shock me if it was, considering not many Syfy shows make it past 5 seasons. Yet, it is pretty much the networks flagship scripted show and they don't really have much else that gets the level of acclaim The Magicians does

It was speculated that Jason wanted to leave to be closer with his wife aka Ms. Maisel who is in NY, while the show films in Canada. Who knows exactly why though.

Syfy really doesn't have much else and this was a sleeper hit...thanks to NETFLIX.

The show they were planning ON making their flagship (Deadly Class) was cancelled. so is krypton, happy, killjoys just ended there series, expanse was picked up by amazon.

The only scripted show they have left are Wynonna Earp and van helsing which have very cult fanbases but they aren't even bring in supernatural ratings.

People can talk shyt about CW all they want but the channel it self has a very loyal audience. CW regularly season lined up been picked up multiple times now. SYFY has to start over every 2 or 3 years.

Yep and they also need to make better business deals because they fukked up handling The Expanse. You should watch The Expanse btw. IMO it's at top 3 out of everything I've watched on SYFY and it's now going to get even more production value on Prime Video.

the sad truth is SyFyf channel is on death door and not even it non scripted shows are going to be able to save it.

Idk if any of yall have amazon prime but DAMN Amazon has completely taken over Sci fi...Check their sci fi shows...it deep and they have the deep pockets for budgets unlike SYFY who waits for canada to make half their shows.

The cw also has something syfy doesn't. The cw audiences tend to watch multiple shows on the channel and i don't mean just DC shows. Someone watch legacies also watch ALL american thanks to NETLFIX AGAIN or riverdale, the 100, Dynasty, etc

I can't say the same with SYFY. i really noticed when Killjoy and Dark matter were back to back. both shows audiences didn't connect nor did the expanse, happy, Deadly class,etc

It gets no buzz at all, and don't even know if it's cancelled or not, but I actually really liked Alien News Desk. I thought it was a good throwback to the old old Sci Fi channel shows like "FTL Newsfeed" and SciFi Vortex, combined with Futurama and SNL Weekend Update.

The channel has never been the same since it became "SyFy".

I’ve came to an conclusion that I might be a closeted Quentin fan. It’s weird like I wouldn’t say he’s my favorite character, and yet I can’t see myself watching this show without him. Lose Alice, Penny or Kady, I wouldn’t care. Julia, Margo or Elliot, I would be pissed but still watch. Why is my desire gone? For the first time ever, I do not care for the newest season. My hatred for SyFy doesn’t help either.
