Beast Quentin or Julia?
Basically we're not going to see Penny-40 anymore?
I'm sure he'll get better as we go on but I liked Penny 40 more than 23
Julia is stronger, she is getting stronger and stronger by every request she fulfils. I guess you get level up as a god if you actually carry out godly duties hence her statement to Raynard that his little spark is growing bigger and bigger in her because she has nurtured it.
You think that? Seems to me if a group of gods had to trap them one god really wouldn't make a difference sort of like reynard said. And if prayer gave them power how do they predate humanity? I mean I'm not saying they don't get stronger but I think ther power isn't fully relied on prayer.I didn't think of that. It's the old "power of prayer from the followers gives the gods power" story, kind of like "American Gods".
With enough followers, she'd be able to fight the monster from the castle at the edge of the world hand-to-hand.

They didn't say they struggled, but Reynard knows everything about God's powers seeing as he was one and acted like it was still dangerous, so I took it as it's pretty implied. And as Julia herself said when the gates are open all bets are off on what can happen.I don't think it gives them ALL their power, I'm just agreeing with the idea that that's why Julia's power is greater than Reynard's and growing.
Also, unless I'm mistaken, they didn't actually say that the gods had to struggle with the monster. I think they just said that they locked it up as a failed experiment. Maybe they could destroy it at will, but they're keeping it around like an attack dog.
I didn't see the finale playing out the way it did, but like I expected the show definitely didn't stick with the status quo.
Now our main group has new persona's with no knowledge of magic (at least for now), nice nod to the book with Margo being Janet now. Elliot looked suitably creepy chasing after Quentin , err Brian, as well with aims to wreak havoc. I imagine a good portion of next season is them reawakening to who they used to be and stopping the creature or locking it back up.
Not until it kills a whole bunch of the librarians and that McAllister bytch. fukk Dean Fogg too.
I just knew the squad was going to get shytted on again but not in this magnitude. Great finale. Had me at the last few seconds.
