YOOO. I watched this twice.

This whole season has been strong but this final is in it own league.

From the sacrifices, Julie of Godhood, Elliotts wife being substitute high king and the fairy queen sacrificing herself for her people.

Our stupid group hearing all the warnings about the man in the castle and still doing dump shyt.

Next season.....ALOT of GODS are going to die. And the group going to be puppets for this angry childlike god.

No Whammies!!
Why can’t they ever just follow the rules

ETA::francis:

I have to admin, when they mentioned the "god killing gun" I thought it was a smarter plan than leaving Quentin behind as a jailer/babysitter. But it doesn't work if the creature can jump bodies like the demon from the movie "Fallen".

Edit:
Just thought of something else:
Penny from timeline 23 had his mind wiped, but the "original" Penny is still his original self.

Kinda upset Julia lost godhood though. :francis:

Her swag in that scene when she dispatched Alice and helped the group forge the keys was :wow::wow::wow:

The only problem with her being a goddess was that she was OP compared to the rest of the group.

So you don't want to remove her from the cast (Stella is one of the better actresses on the show) and have her building worlds and answering prayers, but you wouldn't want to have her be the easy fix anytime the group gets in trouble and needs help.

Well the one goddess that was supposed to train/guide her seemed to be up to something. Also, they could have spliced her in between scenes talking to the other gods and only stepping in when absolutely necessary. And even then, she's not fixing the problem but giving the occasional vague clue or tool to (eventually) help them. I was hoping that she would make another world for the fairies.

There are definitely routes they could have taken to keep her being a goddess, or at least explored it longer. Maybe the writers wanted to have her more in the mix with the other characters. The show generally does spread out the characters in different places and stories, but I do enjoy when they are all or mostly together.

This show turnt out to be better than I expected. Alice needs new character development or something because she's the worst part of it. Every time o see her I get pissed and her actress is cringe.

shoutout to the coli brehs for putting me on :salute:

What happeneds in book 3?

I heard mixed reviews about that book

Magic in Fillory starts dying. Quentin finds out how Fillory began, from an ancient God sacrificing herself to create Fillory, Ember and Umber. Quentin decides to sacrifice Ember and Umber, gets their powers, and creates a new Fillory. He also found a way to bring Alice back from being a Niffin. She was crazy for a while after coming back. Quentin gives up his power. Julia becomes a goddess. Eliot, Janet, Josh and the Poppy chick become Kings and Queens of Fillory. Penny ends up becoming a top person in the library. Alice stops being mad at Quentin for bringing her back. Quentin uses a spell to create a new fantasy land for him and Alice to go to and the book ends with them going there.

I didn't love it. The book skips ahead a few years, so Quentin is like 30 something and he's a teacher at Brakebills. I mean it makes sense, the first book's setting is college. The second book's setting is young adulthood and traveling through Fillory. The third book is about Quentin transitioning to being middle aged but, it's just a weird transition.

Oh ok.

I see there going to use penny storyline for season 4 and maybe 5.

The rest they already done besides create a new world.

I can’t see them creating a new fantasy land...josh barely has any real lines. I don’t see that changing in season 4 or 5. Poppy was an afterthought after 2 episodes. Katy barely has a storyline anymore, especially with her penny in the library and doing his own quest.

There are so many rich characters, organizations, and Settings in this show But 13 episode isn’t enought to focus on them, especially when they are bring dead characters be...such as 23 penny and the hedge witch.

Yea....I can see them using Penny's storyline

The show has split so far from the books though
