I haven’t watch alicization anime or war of the underworld either cuz I wanted to read the novel first and be able to binge the whole series at once from beginning
still don’t get why they wanted to call it war of the underworld it’s a nice name and makes sense but the whole thing is still alicization arc
also that’s just the beginning of what fukkery u will see trust me
Let alone the next arc is suppose to be the final one too it just 2 books in deep if I’m correct
I just started SAO a couple months ago and now in the midle of season II. I agree that season 1 was too fast, and it had a lot of potential. I think I understand why they rushed it though. With as amazing and in depth a story they could have gotten with the first iteration of SAO, that real world psychology part was probably the part the writer really wanted to show. Very interesting show.
I still view SAO like I view the series Prison Break. A great series with a great premise that completed its premise and from there really had nowhere to go. Prison Break answered the question what do we do now that they're out of prison by putting them back in prison and having them break out again. The series jumped the shark because of it.
SAO's answer was also to redo the original premise. The fairy dance was shyt so it redid the original premise another time. Alicization is a much better effort but to me franchise fatigue is setting in. I feel like this should be the end game. It feels like it should but I'm thinking it's not.
I would prefer the whole thing was rebooted. Take the best of the other arcs and make a definite arc that's well paced instead of glossing over some aspects like the original and call it good. Also stop with the rapey aspects.
