The protein requirements are always exaggerated and I think these protein supplement companies funded these damn studies or something. But when bulking, I just make sure to hit 1G per pound. I usually go over but hit 1G at minimum. 2G per pound is overkill and your body ain't using all that damn protein.

Carbs is where it's at to pack on the pounds tho. Easy to eat high carb meals.

The Truth
20 times bodyweight lbs in calories doesn’t sound bad, especially if you’re a hard gainer :ld:

That’s around 4000 calories for a 200lb person, which isn’t that much if you’re active and lifting trying to put on weight.

Now with protein its a little less than ~2 times bodyweight in kilograms, not pounds.
Someone who knows wtf they’re talking about.

4k calories isn’t even enough needed imo, depending on the person

Pro bodybuilders on drugs fooled nikkas. Eating 5000kcal a day makes sense when you are 300+ lb of muscle. Most natural people would do fine on about half of that at the most. Protein is a little overrated too. I'd say you can probably get away with .6-.7g/lb body mass.
True

Your body only processes so much protein.

Yup, I'm toned and ripped, weighing around 190 and standing at 6'3". Work out once a week and eat healthy, with a Muscle Milk protein shake in the morning. I prefer the lean muscular look to the freakish physiques I see a lot of brehs chasing. fukk looking like the Rock.

Protein is actually just to build and repair
Carbs are supposed to be your quick energy source while fat is supposed to be your long term energy source.

Thats why people carb load for certain shyt... like sporting events (basketball players, football players, boxers, runners, cyclists, etc).

Or when people are trying to lose weight they cut carbs or damn near avoid carbs altogether and begin to use their stored fat for energy.

But carbs can turn into fat if not burned

I used to think like this as well. But when i think back on it. There's a lot of broscience out there and thats why I believed it. What's for more important than just eating for calories is actually consuming a balanced meal plan. It's really all about nutrient density more so then calories. I'd take it a step even further and say a huge reason why most brehs arent seeing gains as quickly revolves around not consuming enough vegetables.

Most of the shyt people rant and rave about in regard to supplementation shakes can be sourced through rotating a few vegetables in a diet.
