This is all I need from it.
I'm not getting a Switch 2 for the graphics or novelty of playing high fidelity games portably. A Steam deck or PS Portal streaming handles that. I just want it for Mario Kart, Smash Bros, 3D Zelda and Mario, Metroid and whatever new IPs that's dope they create.
PS4 graphics in 2025.
Might as well get a Series S.

PS5 level graphics on a modern hybrid console is definitely a pipe dream. We can’t even get 60fps on a consistent basis on modern consoles

It's insane because the current Switch is below what a Base PS4 is. The best-case scenario for Switch 2 is PS4 Pro docked and PS4 on handheld. Since PlayStation started making consoles, Nintendo has dominated the handheld market and only had big sales for the Wii. Which we know was mostly cause of the casual market. Nintendo is in a different lane than Microsoft and Sony. Plus Japan has been big on handheld and mobile for quite a while. Nintendo ain't changing what they do.
A big part of the Switch is affordability and when you add battery life they aren't all out to do that.
Plus, Nintendo knows how to make their games look good when you consider the hardware they are on. TOTK and Xenoblade 3 being the notable ones. The thing though, if you consider the GameCube and the Wii were 11 years at the same power level and Wii U and Switch will be 13 years at the same power. There is no way that the next Switch won't have a power boost since the Switch 2's lifespan can be as long as Switch 1 if not longer is they play their cards right.
Another thing people are not saying is the amount of 3rd party games that can come out on the Switch 2 if handheld is PS4 level. While yes a lot of brehs here have already played those games, but the catalog for the PS4 is insane. Plus I still think Cross-Gen games are a thing.
Yeah, brehs are forgetting this is basically a handheld console that has to be sold at an affordable price for most consumers. Even the most powerful current handheld consoles like the Rog Ally have a hard time approaching PS5/Series X level graphics and performance, and they cost like 800$PS5 level graphics on a modern hybrid console is definitely a pipe dream. If Nintendo pushed for performance and sold their next Switch at that price people would riot out there 
I think base PS4 in handheld mode and PS4 pro level (or even a little above) is what we should reasonably expect. Don't forget that outside of the raw specs, the next Switch will also benefit from recent technology and DLSS thanks to their partnership with Nvidia. It will not be a PS5/Series X but it's looking to be a big improvement over the original Switch. Don't forget that even the current Switch had PS4 ports (some good, some others terrible

But nintendo purposely makes their games for all ages. So all the best levels or difficult/skilled uses of the mechanics in their games are relegated to bonus levels, or extra challenge shyt outside of the regular game.
Like the best stuff im mario galaxy was locked behind collecting a million moons first, cause they made the game so a 6 year old could “beat” it.
