Like I said, if it didn't happen before '96 I have no idea. I would think the money isn't as good anymore because there is more high quality shyt on the street, they can't be charging the same prices.

Very few, although I know brothers who did time, came home, and got their lives together. It all depends. Some of it was just luck.

Yes, Chicky was a legend in those days. Alpo was from the East Side but we all saw him as a West Side cat if that makes sense. He didn't hustle with Ricans at all. The Chicky vs Alpo story was like a dope game vs crack game thing. The major dope players like to show the crack guys every now and then how big we were doing it.

Glad you mentioned this. New Jack City is a completely inaccurate depiction of the period. It's a corny anti-drug action flick. Add King of New York to the list. There are no movies about NY in that period that accurately depict what it was like. Dudes would set up shop in buildings, but it wasn't Hi Tech with computers and surveillance and dudes in uniforms with uzis lol. And no black/latin hustlers were going to war with Italians or much less the police.
