Maybe now Dems will take the courts seriously instead of purity test bullshyt.

You make a good point. Trump trying to defend and Juelz about this in the 24 general election is not going to go good for him with a lot of independent women. Especially if some horror stories are happening with these over the top state laws.
trump isnt even pro life :mjlol: he's a new york, limousine liberal trust fund baby

he's probably paid for more abortions than had children

I mean, I guess. But maybe by a margin smaller than you might think. If anyone here is friends with more than a handful of women, or have had more than a handful of girlfriends, you likely know someone that's needed access to an abortion and/or miscarried at least once. The rolling back of Roe v Wade isn't just about abortions. It's going to have an effect on stuff like miscarriages and birth control too. Ever dated someone that uses an IUD for birth control? If so, then this could end up affecting them at some point too.

Also, this legislation seems so fukking evil and Draconian, even to moderates. I've talked to multiple people just today that lean right and say they personally would never get an abortion, and insist they're pro-life in their personal lives, and yet they're pretty disgusted by this.
Something that isn't stressed enough, but it offers privacy. Our constitution doesn't explicitly state our rights to privacy, but Roe V. Wade offers an implicit outlet for bodily privacy/bodily choice. Without Roe v. Wade, our bodies are essentially vectors for the state. I study history so I can tell you how bad it can get. Food rations, Porn Ban, Obscenity & Moral Laws.

Your technology will be your evidence in court.

So voters are never at fault for poor decisions? Or do you think Trump is objectively a better candidate to vote for than Hillary?

It's not about Hillary or any progressive vs. moderate nonsense. Hillary herself is irrelevant, my point is that voters in America don't act in their own interest. I don't blame people for not voting for Hillary per se, I blame people who didn't and then are acting like they don't share blame for the consequences of their decision.

Hillary is irrelevant, but the Supreme Court isn't, and people should be smart enough to know that.
Politicians are supposed to fight for peoples votes, their job is to convince people to go out and vote for them. You can't just sit back and rely on people turning out just because other side is despicable. Constant inaction creates voter apathy.

What we are seeing right now with overturning of Roe v Wade, ruling on gun permits, is Republicans putting in work for their base. They're delivering on their promises while on the other hand Democrats with a President, Senate and House control are singing God Bless America on steps of the Capitol.

And then the only people that will feel actual consequences are regular people, while Democrat party elites will stay in their positions and be able to fundraise even more. And on top of all of that they also have people like you actually defending them :hhh:

Roe v. Wade being overturned is another domino knocked down, leading toward the destruction of this country. Voting is important. With that said, it is not the end-all-be-all solution often purported. One of the major problems of this system is that attorneys and financiers run it seemingly alone. Just because someone knows the law or can pay for something does not mean they are fit to lead. Similarly, someone who designs a genius app does not mean they should run the company. Until the dualistic, polarized way of observing society and its problems is surpassed (Left v. Right, Democrat v. Republican, White v. Black, etc.), none of this will change.

I'm sure the forefathers of this nation are applauding from hell.

It’s very simple. You’re arguing that Democrats don’t vote strategically and that Republicans do. But 88 percent of Republicans are white and the highest correlation to being Republican is being an evangelical Christian. There will never be a time where a “big tent” Democratic Party has something so singular to rally around unless a Republican who is anti-everything like Trump is in office. Americans are not conditioned to think about courts and shyt like that. Only educated people do that. The second you don’t have something uniting democrats the coalition falls apart. So you guys keep harping on the voters when the voters never considered shyt like this possible because they’ve been told that forever. They’re going to focus on shyt relevant to them. The voters never voted for Trump over Hillary. They stayed home assuming she would win and not enthusiastic about what that would mean. You guys keep talking about politics like sentiment is built the day before Election Day. I urged everyone on here to vote for her and knew that many people just wouldn’t. And it didn’t have shyt to do with her emails. Like anyone who works in politics knows that behind the scenes all the focus group testing was telling us that the voters didn’t have an affinity for her. None of us said it in public and played for the team but there was a lot of scratching heads to try to figure out how to make the public like her.

Well, the email thing was always facetious, nobody really thinks that's why she's lost, it's just a stand-in for people staying home for bad reasons.

That said, you're not wrong, but if the only way Democrats will come out to vote is if the candidate is particularly charismatic, or the Republican is more evil than usual, then the party is doomed. :francis:

I wish people were smarter than that, but it's probably a lost cause.

What party do Manchin and Sinema belong to?

They're obviously corrupt, but it's not fair to blame everybody for that.

I didn't defend a single person :gucci: all I said is people should act in their own self-interest, even if that just amounts to damage control

The unborn” are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don’t resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don’t ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don’t need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don’t bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus, but actually dislike people who breathe. Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.

Abortion is a legal right in my state, and because of the state's political make-up, that's how it's going to be.

We are going to have a lot of women coming in from nearby shythole states to get abortions, but that was already an issue.

I'm feeling like the West Coast should just make our own nation, throw the peace sign up, and roll on out at this point.

Yep. And that's what frustrates me with others on the left. The right is so much better than the left at falling in line, even if they have more minor disagreements amongst each other.
I hate to say it but true. Biden gone have to get to a point with the 2 wishy-washy senators and make them get w/the program on some "get down or lay down shyt."
