At the end of the day, cost of living has a lot more day-to-day impact on the average person's life than abortion rights
I mean, I guess. But maybe by a margin smaller than you might think. If anyone here is friends with more than a handful of women, or have had more than a handful of girlfriends, you likely know someone that's needed access to an abortion and/or miscarried at least once. The rolling back of Roe v Wade isn't just about abortions. It's going to have an effect on stuff like miscarriages and birth control too. Ever dated someone that uses an IUD for birth control? If so, then this could end up affecting them at some point too.

Also, this legislation seems so fukking evil and Draconian, even to moderates. I've talked to multiple people just today that lean right and say they personally would never get an abortion, and insist they're pro-life in their personal lives, and yet they're pretty disgusted by this.

:dead: Jesus Christ this country is going to hell in a hand basket. We really having Same sex and abortion debates in 2022.
I'm looking at Ecuador breh. Seriously. Their visas are for 2 years instead of 90 days, and if you stay for that 2 year time period without leaving the country more than a total of 90 days...you get citizenship rights and the ability to travel anywhere in South America without needing a passport. They have a very open-border policy, and I hear things are very affordable there.

It's a ridiculous amount of shyt posting trolling ass TLR members gaslighting this thread. This is a big deal with women all across country. And when they come for birth control and everything else, those same posters will be on here, saying shyt like dems do nothing, fukk voting and repeating right wing talking points.

We saw what happened when they did have the numbers back in 2009. They could have codified Roe v. Wade into law right then. Obama had even campaigned on it.

They chose not to. They could have done it. THEY CHOSE NOT TO.

Obama turned around and said "Oh, that old thing. Sorry, that isn't actually a priority."

So don't give us this shyt about Dem numbers. They had them. They chose not to use them. They want to campaign and fundraise, they do not want to protect rights or solve issues. They proved this.

You still need the numbers to do that. If there's no numbers, then it can't happen without bipartisanship. And you see how well that's working out.

But to the rest of what you said, I agree.

Voting ain't gonna do shyt :mjlol:

The democrats are spineless pussies who roll over every time for the Republicans. These demons will bring back slavery and that old ghoul Pelosi will come out and say "ya'll better make sure you get to the polls on November!"
Not voting does even less, though. We have to do our best to not get rolled as far back into the stone ages as we would by not voting. Make as much changes as we can while voting for the best of bad choices. It sucks, I agree. But I still don't see a good argument for just sitting out and not engaging in the process, even if the process is deeply corrupted and not fair right now.

Wrong. Dems are in control of all three legislative branches, they could revoke the filibuster and codify Roe into law today. They could also expand the Supreme Court and have a pro-choice group send up a challenge so the court could rule in pro-choice favor.

Instead, they will just do this:
There's also a lot of shyt Biden could do to help very popular policies on the left that he's simply not doing. It's frustrating.

I get it.

Do you think Democrats are going to witch-hunt Ginni Thomas as well?

You make a good point. Trump trying to defend and Juelz about this in the 24 general election is not going to go good for him with a lot of independent women. Especially if some horror stories are happening with these over the top state laws.

"Focus on areas we can agree on" :wow:

Here we are almost 20 years later and Democrats are still looking for reasonable Republicans and praying for a strong Republican party :scust:
