It would have just been superman returns again though. But this time around they should acknowledge that something happened for him to have that mindsetIt just happened to fast. Should've let Superman cook as a boy scout for a movie or two before him having him forced into this situation. It would've hit harder.
It's crazy to me how Marvel went over a decade with restraint over all kinds of things like Captain America picking up Thor's hammer or even saying "Avengers Assemble". But Superman has to make the ultimate decision at the end of his first outting - I'm like "you've been a 'hero' for two days"

Gunn sold Guardians. I don't think Superman is gonna be a hard sell for him.
I think what will end up surprising people, will be just how well written the supporting characters will be. The Daily Planet is gonna shine.
MoS completely wasted Laurence Fishburne.
We're not gonna get Brainiac movie 1 and that doesn't worry me one bit.
