Snyder’s Superman is mostly for people who don’t like Superman.shyt has to be the most confusing thing ever. Bruhs really are asking for a Superman. Who doesn’t act like Superman. Cavil’s Supes acted more like fukking Batman.

Exactly, they couldn't top MoS so they retired its jersey and moved on to the JL. If MoS was as shytty as WW, Aquaman, Shazam or the Suicide Squad, WB would've been forced to make a sequel.

I loved man of steel i dont know WHY it garners such damned hate. the visuals. the music... cavil played a nice superman...It wasnt that edgy that he killed zod shyt he lost everything when he did... like it was either save humanity and choose them or kill me and the last ember of your people...

Mission failed if that's the case. It made me like him even less. He just came off as a bored dikkhead. Superman is supposed to make you feel hopeful, not like he's too good to be in the movie.
He's the worst superman and it's not cavill's fault, it's Snyder being obsessed with the power superman has and completely missing the point that the fantasy isn't the power he has, the fantasy is that someone with that kind of power could ever be a genuinely good person who can empathize and relate to people with far less power than him. What makes him special is that while he CAN solve problems with violence, he takes no joy in doing so and tries to avoid it. He's supposed to represent humanity at its best, not just be a really strong guy that's bummed out about the fact that people want him to help them.

The same reason Star Trek Into Darkness gets such hate. It took a bunch of bits of bits from a popular iteration and remixes them without understanding why that previous version worked. So not only does it not work, it makes itself look less competent in comparison.
Once Snyder got the chance to do something that spoke to him more with BVS we got ZuckerLex and an undercooked DKR Batman.

Is Gunn gonna give us a funky 70s soundtrack, a poppy 80s soundtrack or a hip 90s soundtrack to work with for his quirky, doesn’t play by the rules but still charming version of Superman
