Man of Steel's action sequences are still the best comic book action scenes ever.

I feel like there will never be a good Superman movie. At least never better than a Batman movie.

Just curious what you think seperates it from other CGI slugfest.
With that smilie it appears you have no interest in being objective but for me the action in Man of Steel is superior to most comic book movies because it blends CGI and real world aesthetic better than most and the movements of the characters and damage caused by their actions makes them feel like they are faster and more powerful than anything anyone in that world has ever seen.

Not at all,you just made a big statement,and you made it very confidently. I see what your saying but I have a hard time agreeing. Mostly because if I think of the top 10 action sequences in a comic book movie. MOS doesnt have an action scene that would fall in the top 10,maybe not top 15 imo. How do you have Superman,who can basically do anything. But not do anything particular clever in terms of feats. Are the action scenes even better than Superman Returns? I still remember that gun scene and that scene where he saves the plane from crashing. Sorry,but punch through walls,smash smash,punch through something that explodes. Was just a little uninspired to me.

Well ppl complained about Superman returns he wasn't punching ppl. So Synder made a movie where he was punching ppl.
I liked Brandon Routh portrayal for what it was, I believe he got a bad rap. #hbomax

This movie is so stupid when you think about it. Why is Jorel giving him a suit at 30,and telling him to go be superhero? And why does he suddenly agree,when clearly he doesnt like the role of Superman. What are the threats in this world that make it need a hero of Supermans caliber? Why not just have other super powered heroes/villians exist prior to Superman,since Batman obviously exist. And all these other meta humans are gonna pop up as soon as Superman does. Jorel hologram giving him modern day advice as if hes living is laughable
Could Zod not have just given him a suit? Might have made their final battle better,or him killing Zod mean something. If they actually made Zod start out as a friend,instead of a lunatic immediately. Why would Zod just assume Clark would be perfectly fine destroying Earth just because he showed up? This movie just makes everybody clueless.

I put him in the same boat as Thomas Jane. Great characterization in a mediocre/bad movie.
