Im still on the episode with the mind control brehs.
I dunno...i tried to give this show a chance, and while it is entertaining at times..its way too cheesy/corny..especially the acting and script. I dont feel like i should continue with the show..

All new Collider News with Natasha Martinez, breaking down the latest casting news of CW finding its Superman for next season on 'Supergirl!'

Supergirl has found its Superman in Teen Wolf alum Tyler Hoechlin — AKA one of TVLine’s 10 picks to take on the iconic hero.

Hoechlin will guest-star in the first two episodes of Supergirl Season 2, which will air this fall on The CW (Mondays at 8/7c, same as its CBS slot). Having been spotted in occasional, obstructed Season 1 glimpses, Superman will for the first time be seen in full visiting his cousin Kara (played by Melissa Benoist) in National City.

“[Executive producer] Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman,” Supergirl showrunner Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement. “We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.”

Superman/Kal-El/Clark Kent of course is currently being portrayed in the DCU films by Henry Cavill, who succeeded previous silver-screen Supes Brandon Routh (nowLegends of Tomorrow‘s Ray Palmer/The Atom) and Christopher Reeve. On live-action TV, the Man of Steel previously has been played by George Reeves, Dean Cain (now Supergirl‘s Jeremiah Danvers) and Smallville‘s Tom Welling.

In addition to his turn as Teen Wolf alpha Derek Hale, Hoechlin’s previous TV credits also include 7th Heaven, Lincoln Heights and appearances on Castle, My Boys and CSI: Miami.

Supergirl is putting a fresh (ahem) spin on the stunt-casting trope.

The now-CW drama has tapped erstwhile Wonder Woman Lynda Carter to recur in Season 2 as the President of the United States, TVLine has learned.

Last March, Supergirl EP Greg Berlanti revealed that he tried — and failed — to lasso Carter for a Season 1 guest stint, telling reporters he had a “perfect role” in mind for the TV icon, but they “couldn’t work out her schedule.” He called it the “biggest disappointment for me this entire season.” Berlanti later confirmed that the role was the “female president of the United States.”

Carter played TV’s Wonder Woman from 1975-1979. She’ll make her Supergirl debut in Season 2’s third episode, slated to air Oct. 24.

Supergirl will touch down on her new home sooner than planned, now that The CW has announced its plan to encore every episode from Season 1, leading up to the Season 2 premiere.

Starting Aug. 1 (or as you may know it, Matt’s Birthday), The CW will air twoSupergirl episodes every Monday, starting with the pilot. At that pace, all 20 freshman hours will have unspooled on The CW before the CBS transplant makes its super-official debut on Monday, Oct. 10 at 8/7c (where it will the following week lead into Jane the Virgin).

Among the guest cast on tap for Season 2 of Supergirl, Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) will appear in the first two episodes as Kara’s cousin aka James’ friend in blue aka Superman aka Kal-El aka Clark Kent, while TV’s erstwhile Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, will recur as the President of the United States.

CatCo is getting a new pitbull.

Cougar Town vet Ian Gomez is joining Supergirl‘s Season 2 cast in the recurring role of Snapper Carr, the dry, all-knowing journalist appointed by Cat (Calista Flockhart) to serve as the editor-in-chief of CatCo Magazine, TVLine has confirmed. He believes in the free press and journalistic integrity and thinks both have been lost in this age of blogs and Twitter. He will be both an adversary and a mentor to the younger reporters (Kara included) around him.

EW.com first broke the news of Gomez’s casting.

Gomez joins a growing Season 2 guest cast that also includes Teen Wolf‘s Tyler Hoechlin as Kara’s cousin aka James’ friend in blue aka Superman aka Kal-El aka Clark Kent, and erstwhile Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, as the President of the United States.

Supergirl‘s second season premieres Monday, Oct. 10 at 8/7.

:ohhh: Does that mean Calista Flockhart/Cat Grant is leaving the show?

:ehh: If she is, good to see that not only is she being replaced by another notable DC comics journalist character, dude is a WB Network vet.

Just in case y'all don't know who Snapper Carr is he was used on "Justice League" & "Justice League Unlimited":

Not sure if its a guest spot or a new cast member but the increase in characters is another reason I expect a drop off with this show when it moves to CW

Floriana Lima, who played a lesbian lifestyle blogger on ABC’s The Family, has copped the role of Supergirl‘s Maggie Sawyer.

In DC Comics lore, Maggie was introduced as a captain with the Metropolis Special Crimes Unit, which handled superpowered menaces. One of the first openly gay characters in mainstream comics, she has long been associated with Supermantitles as a highly skilled member of the Science Police, a division of the police department that deals with metahumans.

On The CW’s Supergirl, as first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Maggie will be a National City Police Department detective who takes a special interest in cases involving aliens.

Lima’s previous credits also include NBC’s Allegiance, Fox’s The Mob Doctor and the web series Poor Paul. Her Supergirl casting comes on the heels of the CBS transplant adding Cougar Town alum Ian Gomez as Snapper Carr, a journalist appointed by Cat (Calista Flockhart) to serve as the editor-in-chief of CatCo Magazine.

As also previously announced, Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) will guest-star in the first episodes of Season 2 as Superman, while TV’s erstwhile Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, has been elected president of Supergirl‘s United States.

Supergirl Season 2, airing on The CW, premieres Monday, Sept. 10 at 8/7c.

Maggie Sawyer was a major recurring character on 90's "Superman: The Animated Series" (& appeared on a episode of "Justice League"):
