plot is what you can expect from a mario movie...the game ain't exactly have stellar plots other than the RPG's.
@ the invincibility star being THE star. I thought it'd at least mimic the game and Bowser would need multiple Power stars...but 1 invincibility star? 
Pratt absolutely was terrible. He should've at least kept/used that other voice he used in the commercial.
Least we got a Charles M cameo.
i loved the score with game music arrangements. HATED actual music. It took me outta the movie. I ain't tryna hear Take On Me in a mario movie
mario kart segment was longer than I expected. They fit it in well enough.
All the references were cool
Wrecking Crew, DK, mario rap, mario kart, power ups, etc

they basically used the star like in the game to win
the parents shyt was lame.

Critics nowadays are all about getting clicks so non favorable always gets more attention than favorable.
Audience is a better indicator IMO.

I didn't watch the English dub and for once I think it benefitted the flick. Pratt sounded awful in all of the trailers.

That movie shouldn't even be allowed to be called a Mario Bros movie... It should have been banned from existence and placed in the same vault at Tokyo Drift....

Journalism nowadays is a clown show of trying to get clicks and hits.
Fans of genre's should be the ones to give the review. Why would someone who loves RomComs review an action sci fi movie? Why would I respect their opinion?
I respect the opinions of those with similar likings.
