Just curious, do you consider Bats vs Supes Dawn of Justice a sequel to Man of Steel or is it a different thing?
Its own thing.
To be honest I dont really consider captain america 3 civil war cap 3 either. Seems more like avengers 2.5

WB/DC have decided to fast track into universe building before it and getting to JL.

WB/DC's situation seems a lot more fluid than Marvels right now,for all we know we could get man of steel 2 in 2017.

You are comparing the iconic Superman to Marvel's B list of heroes? That's how far he has fallen in popularity my G. And I seriously doubt a Superman sequel will be announced anytime soon.
How popular a character was in comics is irrelevant to movie discussions in 2015.
Today,in 2015,in film Superman is bigger than hes been in 30 years.

More people want to see superman in film in 2015 then in the past 30+ years. Proven by the box office receipts.
And as has been stated,for better or wors DC/WB decided to rush into universe building and pushing for a JL movie. Thats what they have prioritized.
so youre going to argue superman was bigger in film in the 80s when superman 3 made 80 million and Superman 4 made 36 million at the box office.
And superman is featured heavily in all the piff DC animated films.
Still made $200M+ domestically, which was good enough for 6th best of 2006. More than Casino Royale and a whole slew of animated flicks (Happy Feet, Ice Age, etc.)
