Pretty much every movie I’ve seen since theaters reopened has been like having my own private theater. The only movie that had more than five people was Jungle Cruise.
People went to see that?!?

rated R is fine. Joker proved that. You can't beat "free" on HBO. Who gonna leave the house when it's right there for free
i watched on my big screen.
I looked to see who has the most post in here and behold
i don’t know why people think it’s going. Convenience is king. This is the natural way of the media business, streaming is here to stay. Movies will only be big blockbusters and luxury status (full meals, cocktails, limited seating, etc)
I think you mean to say "Deadpool" proved that.
Right, that's kind of my point. Joker never gets made if Deadpool didn't walk so it could runDeadpool didn't make a billion is the angle in the argument.
But yeah, Deadpool making money hand over fist as an R Rated comic jawn did open the door.
The next few years movies gon be looking likeWe got a few YEARS until theaters are even somewhat back to pre-covid. Talking like 2024 at the earliest.
hopefully these actors adjust their asking price because that cut of theater revenue ain't happening for a minute.
work harder if you’re worried about $15 a month
But you gotta get those thread views and replies in, breh. Not to mention the arguing. That's the only thing that is important.

It's never coming back to what it was. The theater industry needs to change. And the answer is starring them right in the face. Netflix, HBO, and Amazon need to get into the theater business or partner with existing chains the allow their subscribers to watch their bigger movies in theaters. Theaters make most their money on concessions so if my hbo max subscription also allowed me watch movies like suicide squad in theaters for free it would be a win win for everyone.
yeah, I get HBO Max for free with my AT&T Fiber Gig plan so they already getting my bread. Problem is the theaters want BOTH the ticket and concession bread.
They get half of the ticket and all of the concession bread. That's hard to only get one of those money streams.
Theaters will return as there is no home viewing experience that can replicate that. Question is how long will it take? I put 3 years BEST case scenario, but all sides will have to adjust.
