Suicide Squad 2 Will Reportedly Start Filming in 2018

Crazy thing is that they can do something similar (a SS vs Joker movie) with the sequel based on how SS ended.
Just make a movie where Waller sends the Squad after Joker and Harley.

exactly....said it in the other thread, i want ss2 to either be:

ss vs secret 6 (hired by joker) or
ss vs joker, an assault on arkham type movie without batman

...and the movie should have deathstroke in it somewhere...since he gonna be in 'the batman', make him a spoiler at the end...he can be introduced as the new inmate and have waller say the next mission is her sending the ss after bats....so ss3 would be:

ss vs bats....and he gets help from the bat fam or jl....

I felt the potential in the first one but they switched gears and attempted to make a Marvel style movie out of a DC product.

They should have not opted for the cheap jokes and gimmicky fireworks.

Joker should have been scary as fukk and made the audience uneasy.

Harley Quinn better be FEATURED as top bill.

When I watched the ultimate cut of BVS it went from I liked to a movie I loved.


When I watch the ss extended cut it went from a movie I thought was okay to a movie I didn't like..


People can blame the studio but at the end of the day I think SS falls on David Ayer. He's always been hit or miss and he just missed on this one. There's some good stuff in there,and I liked the characters but the film itself is just messy.

BVS should have been the ultimate cut in theatres and that falls on WB.

But there's no reason SS2 can't be good.

I honestly honestly think there was Studio interference with SS. If you look at the OG Comic Con trailer it's almost like an entirely different movie in tone and presentation. I think Ayer had something truly more gritty in mind and the studio freaked out and wanted Guardians Of The Galaxy Gotham City or some shyt.

Either way part 2 has potential. Will Smith and Margot Robbie were true highlights and if they get back to the more grounded and violent tone of the comics it would really help.

with logan and deadpools success wb will go r with this one and with the praise they got and backlash over their input or lack of input in movies i think they'll let their directors cook and not force them to have a script in 6 weeks

fukked up thing is WB/DC could've been at the forefront of that movement right along with Deadpool and Logan if they hadn't have tried to make SS into a goddamn Guardians jerk off

I agree with 100% of its all the way down to El Diablo should've lived.

Yeah no... Studio interred with Suicide Squad, it's well documented that they did but the dialogue and story was all Ayer so he fukked up too. If anything, the studio was probably trying to fix a bad or average movie and ended up making it ten times worse. I think WB learned a lesson with that and hopefully Ayer learned that he needs someone to touch up his writing.

I said this a while ago. Training Day isn't even all that well written. put that movie on his back and carried it to greatness. Ayer has some good ideas and he's always got innovative looking shots and visuals, he's a good director, he also does a good job casting but as a writer he's not that great.

She was awful imo. The best and true Harley Quinn is the animated series/films, and the Arkham games, and Robbie's Harley was absolutely nothing like them.

Her (and Leto's Joker) is the textbook definition of trying way, way too hard to be cool

no, it shouldnt have...they had to introduce and establish the ss characters first and foremost, to put more characters in the universe, which is what the movie did...making an assault on arkham wouldve made the movie about joker, batman, and ss wouldve been an afterthought...

anyway, with the way the movie ended, part 2 can be an assault on arkham type movie without batman....

they can fix what they almost messed up and keep SS2 hella grounded, no dumb ass over clustered cgi villain tryna blow up the world.

hell, make SS2 the squad tryna take out Joker but Deathstroke stops them or interfers cause joker is paying him, with Bat cameo here and there, HELLA GROUDNED. and you have a dope movie
