Ya'll really aren't that far. Ya'll really need to get an upgrade with the PG position. Chandler could be upgraded but playing with Andrea could change his impact on offense for the better and Bargs tends to be a good post defender even if his overall defense and rebounding is
and sometimes his effort wasn't there either. I know LAL cry about Nash but even with an upgrade at PG, LAL is done. Ya'll really right there but it that slight talent drop-off that is killing ya'll. The Andrea B trade was a great trade because you traded hardly valuable pieces for a good player and he is going to a great fit for his talent. That's what ya'll need at PG. An upgrade. A Chanucey Billups in Denver with Melo level PG. That would put ya'll right there with top four teams with Miami having the edge. But the East is a dead heat 1-4. Those teams can all beat each other. It's about coaching and of course how the superstars or studs react. The Knicks are slightly behind. The thing is the Knicks will be a better regular season squad than Brooklyn or Indiana. So I am not sure how that will change things. We all know Chicago with Rose could be #1 seed in the East but that doesn't mean they will win the East tho.
Realistically though... If Felton could play like he played at the beginning of last season, we would be fine. We have enough backup guard talent to where we aren't dependent on him to be a great point guard. But since he had that hand injury, he wasn't the same. That was really the problem with the team as a whole last year. Everybody played great at some point... the problem it was never at the same time, and it surely wasn't during the playoffs for any of them.
If we get Felton from the beginning of last year, Melo from midseason of last year, JR from the end of last year, Tyson from 2011
, Iman from the end of last year/playoffs and STAT about 2 weeks after his return from injury last year... we could compete with almost anyone. And alot of it had to do with injuries
But even right now... K-Mart is questionable for the start of the season, JR is out early, Shumpert is day to day with his elbow, STAT is questionable, as always. Bargs' back is bothering him. We just need a healthy season, and we would be okay.
