Well...
:mjpls:

Toure' Murray has been showing some flashes... maybe he can develop into something special.

Man... hope is like a bad drug. :to: Feels good when you got it. But when reality hits, you realize that it's just a temporary fix. And the only way to deal with the realities of the future, is to continue to have "hope".... or get clean. And James Dolan is a like the drug dealer. He ain't letting us get clean brehs... We gon have to stay high off "hope." :why:
Ya'll really aren't that far. Ya'll really need to get an upgrade with the PG position. Chandler could be upgraded but playing with Andrea could change his impact on offense for the better and Bargs tends to be a good post defender even if his overall defense and rebounding is :flabbynsick: and sometimes his effort wasn't there either. I know LAL cry about Nash but even with an upgrade at PG, LAL is done. Ya'll really right there but it that slight talent drop-off that is killing ya'll. The Andrea B trade was a great trade because you traded hardly valuable pieces for a good player and he is going to a great fit for his talent. That's what ya'll need at PG. An upgrade. A Chanucey Billups in Denver with Melo level PG. That would put ya'll right there with top four teams with Miami having the edge. But the East is a dead heat 1-4. Those teams can all beat each other. It's about coaching and of course how the superstars or studs react. The Knicks are slightly behind. The thing is the Knicks will be a better regular season squad than Brooklyn or Indiana. So I am not sure how that will change things. We all know Chicago with Rose could be #1 seed in the East but that doesn't mean they will win the East tho.

Realistically though... If Felton could play like he played at the beginning of last season, we would be fine. We have enough backup guard talent to where we aren't dependent on him to be a great point guard. But since he had that hand injury, he wasn't the same. That was really the problem with the team as a whole last year. Everybody played great at some point... the problem it was never at the same time, and it surely wasn't during the playoffs for any of them.

If we get Felton from the beginning of last year, Melo from midseason of last year, JR from the end of last year, Tyson from 2011 :jawalrus:, Iman from the end of last year/playoffs and STAT about 2 weeks after his return from injury last year... we could compete with almost anyone. And alot of it had to do with injuries

But even right now... K-Mart is questionable for the start of the season, JR is out early, Shumpert is day to day with his elbow, STAT is questionable, as always. Bargs' back is bothering him. We just need a healthy season, and we would be okay.

The only team separated from the pack in the east is Miami and that's because they have a fukkin android named Lebron James. But even they can get got. Especially when coaches don't outcoach themselves and take their best rebounder off the floor cuz you wanna chase shooters. Tryna be cute cost Popovich a championship and it still doesnt make sense to me that he didnt have Tim Duncan on the floor to grab the biggest rebound of the season. I say all that to say even tho Lebron is a got dam cyborg, they still aren't invincible. I don't see how these other teams are supposedly ahead of the Knicks. BKLYN? My home team? Just added 3 past their prime players. All on the wrong side of 35. One of whom is supposed to be the defensive anchor. The defensive anchor that won't play back to backs I might add. They have a PG who hasn't done shyt in camp yet because of his still bummy ankle. Him and Kidd are buddies now but so were Isiah and Steph in the beginning. I see this being a short honeymoon. Joe Johnson? No killer. Lopez? No killer. Kirilenko? Also...no killer. Good team. Above the Knicks level? No way. Indiana is good, they peaked at the right time last year and beat us in 6 with injured and slumping players. Game 6 was winnable. That series coulda went either way. And now theyre supposed to be so much better? Cuz of Scola? Why?? Grangers back?? Ok. He's guardable....and?? What is George Hill no longer a marginal PG? Paul George gonna have a breakout season? Man that was last year. Hibbert didnt have a monster year but I wanna see if he can match what he did. He's not bonafide. Last year mighta been his peak. West? Ehh. Whatever. No killer there either IMO. CHI balled hard every game last year and that's why they were successful. Now DRose is back. If he returns to MVP form they'll be good. But that lone superstar life is tough. He still has no number 2. He couldn't beat Miami alone pre-injury, and they have even better role players now. And NYK matches up better now with CHI then they did last year or when Rose was playing. I'm not making any predictions. But locking the Knicks in as 4th or 5th best in the conference doent have anything to do with basketball as much as it has to do with bias.

This is very optimistic as most fans on this board for their team are but let's be real.

Brooklyn still has top 10 players at every starting position and they have two that are top 5 in Deron and Brook. With KG, PP showing flashes of being great still and Joe is clutch and is good for solid offense and defense. They are very smart as a team.

Indy while a good regular season team, is built for the physical playoffs and they are a nightmare defensively. In the playoffs, you have to be overly great at offense or defense but okay at the other to be a contender and Indy is that. They too have legit players at SG, SF, PF, and C. They are very smart at every position as well.

Chicago is a very good if not great team with Rose. They are better than NY by a considerable margin.

So while all of these teams have their flaws, they are all better when it matters which is the playoffs than the Knicks. They have more talent and they have good fits as well. Not to mention, coaching isn't one of the Knicks strong points.
