True...I just hated that David Lee/Wilson Chandler/Mozgov Era.

It's irrational, I know.

Lee wasnt really part of that era. The Gallo, Chandler era was just the beginning step of a larger plan from Donnie. Dolan came in and crushed the buildings and decided to trade for Melo at all costs. Now he's doubling down on it.

Back then...Cleveland had Lebron lighting it up getting 30-40 points, Kobe doing work getting his, Wade in Miami doing his thing...and we had David Lee getting 15 rebounds and 12 points....and Chris Duhon running the point.

Bad memories.

I can't fault your logic. This is all emotion from my end. I am not even trying to be intelligent about that time in Knicks history. I was embarrassed by it. I tried to root for those bland fellas.

Why are people acting like we were championship contenders before Melo !? Niccas saying if he leaves at least we cah restart ??? With who ? I didn't know we could just pick superstars off a tree or that teams without stars win anything
The FA interest for Melo wont even be that crazy.
most teams won't have space tor him and know he won't consider a small market team . So yes the market won't be that big .
I Can When Its My Team lol

Theres No Reasonable Explanation That Melo Should Be Making More Money Than LeBron James

I'd Sit Melo Down Look im In The Eye And Ask Him Why He Thinks He Deserves More Money Than LeBron James, Theres Nothing He Can Say To Argue That
He can say he has less to work with than bron , kd , rose etc . That was before he even got the max deal oh and he can say he has way more tax to pay in NYC . Why are you counting his pockets?? The team can add free agents and pay Melo .

Of course. But the Knicks gave away every draft pick they had in the 2000's.

How Do You Justify Paying Melo That Much Money? Do You Care About Melo Or Do You Care About The New York Knicks?

We have the reigning NBA scoring champion....I would prefer to keep him, rather than downgrade.

scoring champs come and go. You really want to be paying Melo 30 mill when he's 34? What good does that do?

Its never going to happen because Dolan is just a bizzare creepy dude....but you sit Melo down and let him know we need you to be flexible with your new deal so we can surround you with better players. If he says no I need the max every season you say see you later and fire Steve Mills and bring in a basketball guy.

Why are you always talking like Melos knick era was a Failure ? I guess the best season in forever was a mirage .... And as great as we act like Donnie Walsh was none of those players have turned out to be better than Melo . And as far as trading for dwill like others said we should of tried to do instead of Melo he hasn't done anything in the Tristate area to show he's better than Melo . There's only one bron/ prime Kobe every other is comparable to Melo

Melo has a game that can age well . As long as he stays in shape and avoids major injuries he'll be fine

That's logical. I will still root for our squad if there were a bunch of Poindexters playing that Jazz basketball.

Either way, I am going to enjoy this season. More moves and the unexpected are bound to happen with this team.
