There ain't shyt African about us, except our skin color.
The NOI always denounced Africa and nappy hair
Unfortunately there were small indications of self hatred in that teaching in which even malcolm x would eventually criticize Elijah for teaching. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us that the “black man” is the Original man on the planet earth.
The father of Civilization.
We are native to this planet not just Africa.
Overall I have massive respect for the noiThe NOI always denounced Africa and nappy hair

The intentions were pure but what it has devolved into is black folks using that kind of rhetoric to run and superimpose themselves on every kind of culture except Africa and try to cherry pick history find small specs of black involvement to justify stealing the accomplishments of other people, all while running from the legacy and blood of their own ancestors. Noi was often criticized for teaching the "all over the world" teaching but adopting Arab customs and culture . It's hypocrisy and self hatred disguised as black empowerment.
There are black african people of multiple ideologies religions etc who have done great work for the black community and its childish to try and create some ranking system among them. Furthermore although we respect Elijah Muhammad we progress by being honest about their teaching. What you have to do is avoid being a zealot which is what your doing now. So much so you ignore me saying I have massive respect for the man, hell the entire black nationalist pan african movement did and supported him etc and in fairness he gave respect the other way, but you ignore that and react to criticism of his teaching (which he says came from fard Muhammad) as someone selling short Elijah Muhammad accomplishments. He wasn’t a miracle worker but he came closer than anyone else.
The only cherry picking I see is nikkas that try to shyt on Elijah anyway they can, even though he’s the only man to ever build a successful “black” organization of that scope and magnitude, not only completely independent of the American power structure, but while in direct opposition to it.
The nerve of you bytch ass nikkas.

Him coming the closest , is subjective but again we respect what he has done but that doesn't mean we have to take everything he taught as gospel and don't have the right to revise. Hell the noi implemented portions of scientology , so they themselves revised Elijah never taught that. So if they can revise and give a racist like L Ron Hubbard a listen, then we can critique the teachings and that doesn't erase Elijah Muhammad accomplishments. It's simply understanding that the teaching can have a negative effect. Like proudly adopting Arab culture , praying to the east, doing pilgrimage in mecca, but shunning African customs and traditions under the disguise of "we were all over the world" smh
Yea i view myself as ados/fba or a black american
Dont like black alone or African american
We from america not no country in africa so we shouldnt call ourselves african anything
The noi speaker made good points
We was taught to have racial pride but not no ethnic pride
Im glad its changing now tho
All other ethnicities have pride in what they are
We should as well
