I wouldn't say it's a scam, but I see OP's point though.

I'm usually good with fruit, a snack and a decent meal.

unless you're a growing child you don't need more than one meal a day. Of course you should snack throughout the day for energy but yoy don't need a whole meal. I can workout twice a day on one meal and a smoothie so the average American that is sedentary doesn't need three meals. That's why Americans walking around with diabetes and heart disease.

Three meals is some b.s. rich Englishmen created and brought to America and corporations have made it a religion because it lines their pockets. .

Thank you. 1 meal a day or 1 plate of food spread across 3 meals is the best way to live.

but I kinda agree with OP but for different reasons.

I usually eat a medium-sized breakfast and skip lunch, but snack on a granola bar/sandwich crackers or one of those little bumblebee tuna salad and cracker kits with bottled water, and for dinner, I'll eat something light because I don't like to feel too bloated going to bed or when it gets late in the evening.

The bottom line is to do what you think is best for you.
